The first day back to work was interesting to say the least. There were plenty of stares along with well wishes for both of them. Gideon went back to keeping her door open, the glass partition that separated the two of them was always opened just enough so Sanada could make sure she was fine at all times.   Toru on the other hand, had relaxed quite a bit at work. Every Friday there were treats for the staff in the break room, he also allowed them to wear jeans on that day. Wednesdays were now designated for staff meetings where everyone got together to check in and see how others were going. Not only with work, but with each other. If they had any concerns, they were encouraged to bring them up. The seniors members also attended and lunch was catered in for everyone.

Rei had settled in nicely to her new position as PR Manager. She did have to deal with Ms. Haiyashi, but did so professionally, keeping Gideon's identity a secret.

One day while sitting in his office, Sanada couldn't help but stare at his Mate. She had changed his life from the first moment he met her. He was so grateful for her and everything that she brought to their relationship as Mates. As he gazed at her, he didn't think there was anything else he could get out of life. He had more than enough money for the two of them to do whatever they wanted. The Mate he thought he'd never have was sitting just a few feet away from him. His businesses were highly successful, while other potential properties came up, they didn't interest him.

Last week while he was walking past Kenji's desk, he overheard him talking to Gideon. The two had always thought of having their own little cafe. It would be filled with plants and be in a location where if they wanted to, they could have a line out the door or just a slow steady stream of customers. That gave Sanada an idea.

Two weeks had passed since their time at the house in the woods. Sanada spent the following week in closed-door meetings with the senior members. Even though Gideon was his assistant, her presence wasn't needed. At the end of that week, Sanada let his Mate know he would be out of the office for a few hours. When he came back that Friday afternoon, he walked into her office and told her to clear her schedule. There was an important property they needed to look at. She did as he requested and grabbed her things as they wouldn't be returning. The property was in a fairly popular section of Tokyo with both locals and tourists. It had businesses along the bottom level and apartments above it. The two main businesses were a small cafe/coffee shop and the one next to it was empty. The empty space looked like it previously belonged to a small property management agency. Gideon loved the coffee shop and how the apartments above the buildings were perfect for singles or couples and well maintained. Off to the side of the coffee shop they had a small covered patio next to an open public courtyard/park type area. They talked to the owner of the cafe for just a bit.

Business at the little shop was great he said, if he wanted to be busy all he had to do was advertise but he didn't need to as the area was popular. There was a new apartment complex that was going in and that would bring even more business. Gideon saw it as a great investment. Bidding the cafe owner farewell, the two headed home.

Relaxing in bed that evening, Sanada pulled her over to him, not caring that she was working on her laptop.

"Hey! I'm trying to get some work done Alpha!" She gave him a quick kiss and went to move away from him but he wouldn't let her. Giving her a playful snarl. Gideon simply giggled and rested against him.

"So what did you think of that cafe today?"

"Oh, I thought it was so cute! I couldn't help but picture how I would do it if I had it!"

"Really? And what would you do to it?"

"Well..." Gideon moved to face him, he could see the excitement in her eyes. "I would definitely add more plants, it has the lighting for it. Then I'd add a dessert case where the register is located and shift that over to the other side. I'd change up the menu just a little and add more easy to make sandwiches with a set specialty drink list... Wait, why are you asking me all this?"

Toru got up and left the bedroom for a few seconds, coming back in, he sat next to her. "Hold out your hand."

She gave him a look as she knew he was up to something, she slowly extended her hand. He placed a set of keys in her hand.

"What's this?"

"You my most beautiful and wonderful Omega, are now the proud owner of Gideon's Cafe!"

"Gideon's what?"

"You heard me Omega..."

Gideon lunged at the Alpha and tackled him with a huge hug as he fell backwards onto the bed. She peppered his face with kisses. Stopping so she could stare at him.

"Are you serious! You brought me my own cafe/coffee shop!?"

"That I did. Not only did I do that, but I purchased the building next door and the new apartment complex that's going in."

Now Gideon's curiosity was getting the better of her.

"When did you do all of this and why?"

"The week I had the meetings with the seniors. The space next to your cafe will be my new property management office for the apartment complexes."

"Your new office? You already have an office hon."

"Not anymore."

"What?"

Sanada pulled her over and sat her on his lap, his arms going around her waist he looked deep into her eyes.

"I quit. I turned over Sanada corporation to Anno-san and the seniors. Our last day will be next Friday."

Gideon didn't know what to say or think, she just sat there and stared at him. Her sparkling eyes filled with tears. The strong aroma of her Sandalwood and Rose scent started to swirl around them.
