Chapter Thirty Eight: Welcoming

(Grinch's POV)

It's been 12 years since Grinch was stationed in Hereford Base passing by the memorial of operators then stopping at Thatcher's memorial.
Grinch: "hey... it's been awhile."
???: "oi ya bastard." he recognize the voice calling for him and turn to see his drill sargent Mute approach him.
Mute: "who the hell let you back in the land of the living?"
Grinch: "the bloody devil kicked me out of hell, he didn't like me." they did the epic handshake and let go.
Grinch: "what did i miss?"
Mute: "alot, the first generation had retired, it's just me, Hawkeye, Jack, and Crow." hearing the Colonel's callsign he asked Mute something.
Grinch: "is his office still there?"
Mute: "yeah, he knows your coming and waiting for you."
Grinch: "right..." he heads to the office and took a breath before knocking the door.
Crow: "come in." he enter the office and see Crow.
Crow: "I'll be damned..."
Grinch: "sir... you look different."
Crow: "and you still look like hammered shit." then a moment of silence as Crow pulls out a handgun and balaclava then hand it over to Grinch
Crow: "these belong to you or what's left of it." he put on his skull balaclava and took his pistol and shed it behind his back.
Grinch: "so... when do we get started?" Crow gave him a black aviator glasses to fit the description.
Crow: "now..."

(Dredgen's POV)

What felt like sleeping for weeks, Dredgen woke up in a room alone as usual feeling the stitches on his stomach healing and he see the scar there.
Dredgen: (where im i?) he thought to himself before sitting up and hearing the door open and see a woman entering with a tray of food.
???: "oh just in time." she set the tray down on the table and face him. He looks at her she was a beautiful woman to see, he thought for a second that he died and he gone to paradise. he looked around and see a notebook and pen so he took it and wrote on it before showing her what he said.
Dredgen: "where im i?"
???: "your in a hospital at fort Hereford, you had been shot and fell unconscious due to the wound being poisoned." he sigh.
Dredgen: (no shit... but i got poisoned?) he wrote down and show her the note.
Dredgen: "who are you?"
???: "oh im sorry, my name is Bu Lianshi, im the one letting you rest your head on my lap." he kinda wanted to blush but didn't know how to.
Lianshi: "mind if you tell me your name?"
He goes and write his name and show her.
Dredgen: "Wu Ming, or Dredgen."
Lianshi: "you have a nice name Wu Ming, oh you must be hungry..." he nodded and started eating before a knock was heard from door and it open to see a doctor and and a third person.
???: "oh i was expecting him to wake up alitte late."
Lianshi: "your just in time, Wu Ming this is doctor Cai Wenji who did surgery on your wound." he nodded to her
Wenji: "you were poisoned by a bullet, luckily i manage to save your organs and now you will be fine."
???: "im Specialist Wang Yi, i lead the team and we're going to take you into our team if you wish." Dredgen nod before taking a bite as Wenji give him his clean uniform.
Cai Wenji: "your wounds are healing and here's your uniform."
Wang Yi: "and after your done, Lianshi will show you the other operatives who are in your team." He nods as the two leave the room, with Lianshi remain. Minutes later Lianshi waits outside and Dredgen comes out in his uniform.
Dredgen: (perfect)
Lianshi: "ready?" he wrapped his scaf around his neck and nodded then followed Lianshi to meet his new teammates.
They first arrive in the Armory where Yueying, Zhenji and Alex are working on a shield for a project.
Yueying: "this must be it- hello Lianshi, Wu Ming how are you feeling." he nods but not say a word getting confused looks before Lianshi whispers in her ear.
Yueying: "oh, my name is Yueying, she is Zhenji and that's Alex." Alex wave at them and picks up the shield.
Alex: "let's see it."  he holds on the shield and extends the it and Zhenji shoots her gun at him but he block the bullet using as it absorbs the hit charging the shield.
Alex: "i got some energy now... how to release it."
Yueying: "simple, may i?" he hands the shield to he and nods to Zhenji as she pulls out the phone and start recording with Alex looking concerned.
Alex: "why are you recording?"
Zhenji: "it's for Yueying's research purpose."
Yueying: "now kick it." Alex kicks the shield to be launched in the air and land near Lianshi and Dredgen then heard the laughter from Zhenji and Yueying while recording everything he did.
Alex: "delete that video."

Lianshi: "well then, we're going to met the others see you later."
Yueying: "bye." They leave the armory and
enter the can and see Yuanji reading a book alongside with Andrew.
Yuanji: "these books of drama and romance are really interesting."
Andrew: "can't really answer with a migraine..."
Yuanji: "how much does it hurt?"
Andrew: "not bad but getting there, im going to sleep, later." after he left she was approached by Lianshi and Dredgen.
Lianshi: "Yuanji?"
Yuanji: "Hm? oh hello Lady Bu, and how are you doing?"
Lianshi: "im doing fine, this man is Wu Ming the person who was injured."
Yuanji: "hello Wu Ming how is your wound?" he gave a thumbs up to her getting a confused look before she knows what it means.
Yuanji: "oh that great (i should go to Wenji and see if she has anything for headaches)."
Lianshi: "let's get to your new dorm good bye." they left and walk through the hallway then see a man wearing a balaclava with a skull mask and Aviator carrying a duffel bag and they exchange glares and he nod with approval.
Lianshi: "these foreigners are getting scary each day.
Dredgen: (really?)
Lianshi: "let's not waste time, as we're going to your new dorm which is mine and a woman name Chunhua who is my roommate."
Dredgen: (wait, im living with them?) he gave a look at Lianshi as she open the door and see an empty room.
Lianshi: "oh she's not here yet." Dredgen takes a seat on the bed and waited until Lianshi noticed something was missing.
Lianshi: "shanks i forgot my device, wait right here while i go get it, I'll be back."
After she left, Dredgen sat and looked around the room.
Dredgen: (so this is my room... weird that i have a squad full of... hot, cute and-)
???: "well well, i didn't expect you to be here?" He turn his head and see Chunhua standing by the bathroom door with only a towel around her body.
Dredgen: (sexy.. oh no...)
Chunhua: "i heard Wang Yi that your joining us, im Chunhua." Dredgen pulls out his notebook and shows her his name.
Chunhua: "oh your Wu Ming, what is a young man doing here?" he switch to a clear page and writes down and shows her.
Dredgen: "do you want me to leave so you can put clothes on?" she smiles and stands in front of him.
Chunhua: "oh... do you wish to see what's underneath this towel... little boy?"
Dredgen: (little boy? uh oh) *Gulp*...
