Chapter 8
First Class

The time had finally come, after almost two months of preparations. At exactly 6AM, Dawn and I already headed over to the Skydome from our hotel. We both decided to get an affordable room for the both of us, near the venue, so that it wouldn't be a hassle. We used some of the remaining funds given to us by the management for the fan gathering. Even my mother had to book a room on her own. She was in a different hotel from us. She actually wanted to take us with her, but Dawn and I refused.

As we made some last preparations for the fan gathering and packed the remaining freebies, we only got to sleep past midnight. However, I was so excited and nervous for the event that I couldn't sleep properly. I only slept for two hours, while Dawn was in a deep slumber.

I woke up early to arrange all the things that we needed to take with us, take a bath, and prepare for the day. We were given a shirt by Top Star Records to wear and an I.D. pass, so that we would be recognized as part of the staffs.

Sa totoo lang ay mas gusto ko ang mayroong nakalaan ng shirt para sa amin dahil hindi ko na kailangang magtagal sa pag-iisip ng isusuot na damit. I just tucked in the shirt in a dark denim jeans and wore my low-cut strap sneakers. And since it was going to be a busy day, I also tied my hair in a ponytail. Hindi na rin ako masyadong nag-abala sa pag-aayos. I just used my face powder and tinted lip balm.

Bago umalis ay nag-aya si Dawn na magpicture muna kaming dalawa. She sent a photo to our group chat to show Aya how we were dressed like real staffs of New Classic.

Unfortunately, Aya also couldn't come to the fan gathering. I actually asked the management if we could use some of the funds to book her a round trip ticket to Manila, and they agreed. However, Aya told us that she couldn't go because she had some important matters to attend to. That was the reason why Dawn and I just used some of the funds to book a hotel room.

But last night we got a pizza delivery from her to support us. Kinuha pa namin 'yon ni Dawn sa lobby. Iyon ang kinain naming dalawa habang nagbabalot kami ng mga natitirang freebies. Mayroon pa ngang natira kaya ayon na rin ang kinain namin for breakfast.

Ano ka ba?! Okay lang 'yon! Malaki pa rin naman ang naitulong mo kahit nandyan ka Cebu. At saka ang sarap kaya ng pizza mo!

Dawn's right, Aya. You don't have to feel sorry. Though I really want you to be here with us in our first fan gathering, we understand. Alam naming may importante kang kailangang gawin diyan.

Hindi na rin kami makapagreply sa kanya ni Dawn nang maayos dahil naghahabol kami ng oras sa pagbabalot. She just told us to concentrate on what we were doing and enjoy our day tomorrow.

A van prepared by the management arrived at the hotel to take us to the venue. Mayroon ding dalawang staff na katulong namin sa pagbubuhat ng mga dala naming freebies na kagabi lang namin natapos i-pack. Ang mga nauna naming natapos ay iniwan na namin doon kahapon.

We actually posted the mock up of the freebies on our fanbase account. Most of the fans in the comment section, who didn't get a chance to register, were envious of those who would get the freebies. Some were even asking us to open a pre-order form and sell the items.

It surprised me to see how willing they were to pay for merchandises. However, we have yet to discuss about that to the management and New Classic. We couldn't just sell it because the fans wanted us to. We still need permission.
