I was invited by Chiron to come for Family Day at Camp Half-Blood. I guess I'll get to see Annabeth, so Helen and I can say our sorrys. When we were packing, Bobby and Matthew came up.

"Dad! We wanna come!" Bobby said.

"Yeah, we need to say sorry to Annabeth," Matthew agreed.

I sighed and reluctantly let the boys go into the car. We drove for hours after getting off of the plane, determined to find Annabeth. When we got to the camp, there were tents outside for the parents. There was a warning sign to always be armed with weapons. I knew that Hecate had done something with us to make the border accept us, but it made us all vulnerable to the monster attacks. I saw a blazing bonfire and the campers happily making s' mores.

I searched around, looking for Annabeth. I heard the door open from Cabin 3, the Poseidon cabin. a muscular boy with a perfect beach tan and sea-green eyes stepped out. Annabeth was right behind him, playing with his windswept and messy jet black hair.

"Annie!" Helen called.

Annabeth's eyes flashed dangerously.

"Don't call me Annie. Only my boyfriend can call me that," she growled, kissing the man she was playing with.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I roared.

"Living the life you took away from me," she answered coldly.

"Oh, come on, Annabeth. Give them a chance," the man said.

"You would've been better off if you dated Percy! That kid was so determined to find you!" I scolded her.

"This is Percy, stupid," Annabeth said, rolling her eyes.

"Hey! Nice to see you again," Percy said, flashing me the brightest smile I've seen.

Annabeth smiled and pushed him over to the s' mores booth where I could only watch as they laughed and smiled. I looked over at Bobby and Matthew, who were looking wide-eyed at the scene as they kissed a table away with many friends. I realized how much I had really taken from her. Not her family, her life.

That night, I heard screaming and sobbing from the Athena cabin. I ran in to see what it was. I saw my little girl screaming and crying, kicking and thrashing.

"NO! PLEASE, TARTARUS! DON'T HURT HIM! NO! PERCY! PERCY, COME BACK! YOU CAN'T BE DEAD! NO! NO! NO!" She was yelling, kicking so hard her blanket flew off.

"Annabeth," I said calmly, trying to get to her, only to get a kick to the face.

"Annabeth," I heard a masculine voice say.

I see a boy with blonde hair and gray eyes like Annabeth. He yells to another camper.

"Get Percy!"

The campers takes off and I find myself not trusting what was going on.

"I don't think we need him," I protested.

"You know nothing about Annabeth's life. Percy's saved her life and risked his own many times. He's the only one able to calm her down," the guy growled.

"Oh, I bet saving her life and risking his own is just pulling her off of the battlefield to hide with him," I said.

Percy got in and ran over to the screaming and kicking Annabeth. The moment he laid a hand on her, she calmed down, though she was still shaking tremendously. Percy cradled her like a doll and murmured reassuring things.

"We're out of that pit. We're out of Tar... Tar—" he was saying.

"Don't say his name... He always has a way of listening," Annabeth was awake.

"He's always watching us. Waiting to kill us again," Percy's voice broke.

"Will you ever regret falling in there for me?" Annabeth asked, tears in her eyes.

"Never. I love you, and love means sacrifice."

I scoffed and looked away from the stupid love they had. Well, once I looked away, there was the conch horn. Annabeth and Percy growled.

"Reinforcements from Gaia..." Percy growled.

"CAMPERS! GET YOUR WEAPONS AND ARMOR!" Annabeth shouted, grabbing a dagger.

Percy pulled out the one and only Anaklusmos, running and killing like a machine. All the mortal parents stayed inside to watch the battle. Percy was fighting with such skill it took me a few seconds to process it. Annabeth was killing fast and moving with speed and agility. I saw a young camper, probably five, step out and look around curiously. A monster threw a long sword at her. I saw Percy kill a monster, but he gasped.

"NO!" He screamed, leaping in front of the girl and pushing her aside as the sword lodged into his gut.

I looked in horror at the scene. The monster advanced on Percy. Annabeth was too busy to fight the other monsters that she didn't know that there was one behind her with a poisonous blade. Percy looked panicked and quickly took out the sword from his gut, jamming it into the monster that threw it. He ran to intercept the blade, It stabbed through his stomach. He let out a groan that sounded like 'Annabeth' before he was on the floor with a sword in his stomach. Annabeth whirled around. The monster she had just been killing was licking its wounds. Percy threw his sword like a javelin, killing it before it could kill my little girl.

"NO!" She screamed when she looked down at Percy's bleeding body.

She screamed in rage and moved twice as fast, killing the monster. She dropped her dagger and knelt down next to Percy, who was laying in a pool of his blood. A guy with blonde hair and blue eyes came out with a bucket of supplies. He took a look at the sword and gasped in shock and horror.

"What?"

"Pit scorpion, Chimera, Elder Python Venom straight from Tartarus!" he exclaimed, looking very worried.

"Seaweed Brain... why did you do it again? You're stupid enough to do it once, now you're doing it for the sixth time in our relationship, but this time I have a higher risk of losing you," Annabeth sobbed.

Percy let out a weak groan, his eyelids fluttering as he did so.

"Don't let him close his eyes. I'll try to heal him as best as I can," the healing dude said.

When he guy was back, he began to pour water on Percy's wounds, making them mostly close. He poured a bit of 'Poison Antidote' into the wound. Percy looked so weak in Annabeth's arms. Thalia, that girl who was a tree, came over and looked grimly at her cousin.

"Elder Python Venom is really painful. Percy is really stupid to go through all that pain at once," she said, looking worriedly at Percy's twitching body.

"Had...to...save...Ann...beth..." he choked out.

"I know, Seaweed Brain."

He gasped again.

"Poison... still... there..." he was mumbling weakly.

The little girl that he had saved ran like the wind, returning with a dragon and a piece of golden wool.

"Yes! Of course! The Golden Fleece!" the guy exclaimed, "Good job, Melanie, but I'm going to save Percy's life because he's got one minute to live."

Percy's eyes closed and his breathing stopped. He was limp. The guy still put the Golden Fleece on him, praying something to Apollo. There were streaks of golden light coming from it as he was wheeled away. That's how I met my daughter's boyfriend. He's perfect.
