"Annabeth PLEEEEEEEAAAASSSSSSEEEEEEEE??? I want a puppy," Percy pouted at me.
"For the last time, Percy. I'm not looking into your baby seal eyes and I'm not going to say yes to you getting a dog," I sighed, exasperated.
"It can be a small one! A small Yorkie!" Percy pouted again.
"No," I groaned, laying down on the couch, "I'm seven months pregnant and you expect me to buy you a puppy. If we have a baby, it'll be a lot more work!"
"Yeah, but they'll grow up together!" Percy gave me a look.
"Yeah, for seven years. Then, your little baby girl is gonna have to bury her own dog!" I protested.
"Don't be a party pooper!" Percy gave me a look.
"Don't be so insensitive!"
"The gods can make it immortal!"
"They don't do that to housepets!"
"Come on!"
"No!"
"Come on!"
"NO!"
"COME ON!"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" I yelled and closed the door.
"Oh, well. Pregnancy hormones. She'll get over it," Percy walked down the steps.
Boys, I thought.
When I was sure Percy was gone, I smiled. This was going to be the best birthday ever! I called Piper.
"Code Pup in action," I whispered.
"Gotcha!" I heard her say before hanging up to call Jason.
I laid down on my bed. Scrolling through my phone, I saw the tiny Yorkie puppy we were getting Percy.
"Hi, Charlie," I whispered.
Jason came in the room.
"Okay, Frank's got Percy going to the waterpark and the pool. We've gotta decorate," he said.
"I've got the streamers!" Hazel yelled.
"I've got the balloons!" Piper yelled.
"KEEP YOUR VOICES DOWN!" Clarisse shouted.
"Wow..." Reyna muttered.
I walked downstairs to see Leo lighting a bunch of candles with his hands.
"Leo... those are supposed to go on top of the cake..." Jason stared.
"Yeah, but when you melt the wax you can make it look like a butt," Leo said.
"Can we just get more candles?" I sighed.
Chris came out.
"I've got the presents!" he skipped in.
"I've got the flowers! Mom made them blue," Katie came in.
"We've got the pranking supplies!" Travis entered.
We all stared at him.
"This is a party," I reminded him.
"Aw, please! Why can't we make the cake explode?"
"Because that's for a birthday party! Not a pranking party," Katie groaned.
"It might turn into one," Connor came and Katie slapped him.
"Ow..." he rubbed his cheek.
Thalia came in.
"Dude! That cashier got really mad when I asked for blue coke... said something about a kid asking for it non-stop. I guess blue food coloring and sprite will do," she said.
I watched as the five-tier cake was lifted in. Leo was skipping and closing his eyes.
"LEO!" we all screamed as he plowed through the cake.
We were all covered in blue frosting.
"At least we're taking showers after this," Leo said, licking his shirt, "Mmm! Whoever made this cake has good style."
We all groaned and cleaned up, ordered a new cake, and finished setting up. I went upstairs to take a shower and get dressed up. I put on a maternity gown.

It felt weird to be in a gown again, but I got out and found everyone ready and Calypso trying to keep Leo from dipping his finger into the cake. Frank was on his way home. The puppy had been delivered in the present box. The moment Percy came in we all leaped up.
"SURPRISE!" we all yelled.
He came over and hugged me. We all stuffed our faces with cake until... Charlie jumped out of his box and barreled into Percy, covering him in cake.
"A PUPPY!" he yelled, not caring about the frosting covering him.
I kissed him when he got up and we went to cool off in the pool. BEST BIRTHDAY EVER.
