Luka had no idea that Adrien was coming to visit him. Adrien had come to Liberty only once or twice, as he did not attend the Kitty Section practices. Still, Luka welcomed him and invited him to his cabin.
"So, how are you?" Adrien awkwardly began the conversation.
"I am fine. What about you? Did you get any news regarding Ladybug or Marinette?" Luka asked.
"Unfortunately no. But don't worry. We'll find them," Adrien said.
"I really hope Cat Noir pulls it off without Ladybug. I visited Marinette's parents today. They say they have full trust on Cat Noir."
"How are her parents? I haven't been able to visit them yet."
"They are really miserable. But Ms. Dupain Cheng says if Marinette is with Ladybug, she is sure her daughter would be fine."
"I am sure she is fine too." Adrien said, confidently.
Luka was being as positive as he could, but he awed at Adrien's attitude.

After almost half an hour or so, Adrien began to leave. They had talked about Jagged Stone, music and all the other common topics they could find. When Adrien left, it was already time for dinner. After having his dinner, Luka went to his cabin.
He told his mother that he would sleep, but he knew he wouldn't be able to. He spent some part of his night thinking about Marinette. Suddenly, there was a soft knock on his cabin's window. He sat up, startled. Then he looked at the window and said the first and the most sensible thing that came to his mind...
"Huh?"
Cat Noir was clinging on his window.
"Cat Noir?! What are you doing here?" Luka asked,"Do you have any news about Marinette? Or-or Ladybug? Do you-"
"Luka, let me explain!" Cat Noir said, "I am here regarding Marinette and Ladybug. I need your help."
Luka smiled broadly. He hadn't smiled like this in ages. "I am on guard Cat Noir. What will I have to do?"
Cat Noir took out the black box he had taken from Master Fu. "Luka Couffaine, I am offering you the snake miraculous and a chance to help me find Marinette. You will use it for good and return it when the job is done. Deal?
"Deal? Hell yeah!" Luka yelled.
"Keep it down, you know, hiss like a snake?" Cat Noir then laughed at his own pun. Then said, "We don't want anyone to know this, okay? This will be your secret identity and every night, I will give it to you and take it back when its time to go home.
"Yes, Cat Noir. I promise, you will not regret your decision." Luka reassured him and took the box. As soon as he opened it, there was a flash of blue-green light and as the light faded, Luka saw a small snake like creature floating in mid-air.

"Aahhh... It hasss been sso long. Hello, masster." It glanced at Luka, "I am the Sssnake Kwami and my good-name is Sass..." It said, with emphasis on every single 's' in his sentence. Luka couldn't speak anything for a moment.
