We'll Find Them... (A Lukanette Story)

Looks like this time I am not late! :D And thank you guys for 79 followers, means a lot! Marinette's face was red. But, she was smiling a confident smile, not the nervous one like she did around Adrien. She looked like a tomato.

"I need to ask something, Luka." She finally said.

"What is it?"

"Would you like to go on a date with me?"

Luka couldn't believe his ears. Marinette, the girl he loved, who loved another guy, was asking him out? Luka must've gone red too because the next moment, Marinette said, "You look like a tomato." and laughed her beautiful laugh.

"Yes Marinette." Luka managed.

"Yes what? That you look like a tomato?"

"I would love to go out with you. I love you, I always have." Luka wanted to say so much but he was unable to find the right words.

As soon as those words left Luka's mouth, Marinette threw her arms around him and whispered, "I love you too, Luka." He hugged her back and smiled.

When they let each other go, Marinette asked, "Do you love me because I am Ladybug?"

"No Marinette. I love you because you are both Marinette and Ladybug. You save the city while being the wonderful girl you are, you manage to fulfill all your responsibilities, even as Marinette which is something that I find more intriguing. No one can love you in a romantic way unless they love both sides of you." 

Marinette grinned. Luka also had a question he wanted to ask her.

"But I though you liked Adrien?"

"Adrien is great. But I have realised that he is just a friend, Luka. He has always thought of me as a friend and now so do I. Plus, I think I never loved him either, it was just a crush. It was about time a moved on and find someone who makes me happier." Marinette said, grabbing his hand.

Luka looked in front of him, he couldn't believe this was actually happening, he was afraid that he is going to wake up and all of this will be gone. Marinette seemed to read his mind and held his hand even tighter, "The sunset is so beautiful." She said.

"Its more beautiful with you next to me."

All they did for the next few minutes was to smile. But suddenly, Marinette's phone rang, it was her mother. After talking to her mother, she frowned and said, "I have to go. Some work at the bakery, I am sorry..."

"Why are you sorry? We can meet tomorrow. It is pretty late, can I drop you home?" He asked, offering her his hand.

"Sure." Marinette took it and Luka took her towards her bicycle, like he was escorting her to a dance floor. Marinette giggled and sat on the bicycle. Luka did the same and they proceeded towards her house.
