MARRIAGE.

That was the only thing that was on my mind when I looked at Azaila - who was peacefully sleeping on my bed. Her breathing was slow and I wasn't sure when she'll wake up.

There had been a few times that I changed her bandage since it was bleeding. I even thought of sewing it but decided to make sure that she was unconscious and given anesthetic so it wouldn't hurt as much as before.

There was no way that I'd hust sit here and let Augustus initiate his plans and succeed. I knew that if I just let this mess out of hand, someone's life would be the next one in line.

Kissing Azaila's forehead one last time, I walked myself out of the room and made sure to go straight to the kitchen. There, I saw Quincy running towards me with a frown, her eyebrows furrowed, and a blade held tightly on her right hand.

"Is Azaila alright, my lord? I heard a gunshot earlier and someone screaming," she asked me as I nodded - went over to one of the cabinets, pulled it open, and got one of my dad's guns that he had been hiding for years. A Berreta 92FS. It was already loaded when he hid it there so I had no problem at all.

Quincy noticed my silence - immediately taking a hold of my hand to stop me, "My lord, if you're planning to kill him, don't."

"Do not taint your hands with that filth." Her words struck me so suddenly as she decided to continue.

"Killing him won't bring back anything. It isn't the solution you're looking for, my lord," she then concluded as her eyes widened in terror when I made sure to check if there was still enough bullets before I approach Augustus.

"I just can't let him win this over, Quincy. He had already shot my lover. It was luck that made her alive." When she had tried to pull me back, my hands grabbed hers and removed it from my arms.

"Intimidating him won't suffice. So, I shall give him something that will make him regret every bad actions he had made from the past few months."

Maybe it's time that I become a bad prince for once in my life.

Walking out of the castle, I made sure to visit the garden where my sister was earlier. There I saw Navii who was underneath a tree, her hands covering most of her face as she kneeled to the ground.

The M1911 was no longer there with her.

"Navii!" A yell escaped my lips as I made sure that it was loud and clear for her to hear. Her head turned up towards the sound of my voice - tears fell down her cheeks like a rushing water. She let her legs carry herself back up, running towards me at full speed before letting her figure get engulfed right into my arms.

The words couldn't even leave her mouth. Struggling to speak, her ragged voice tried to make out the thoughts that she wanted to let out. "I-I thought you were dead! Thank heavens you're alive!"

"It's just that...he shot towards the balcony and I really thought that-" Cutting her off, I raised my index finger to stop her.

"He shot Azaila. That damn bastard is already getting on my nerves." Her mouth hung open and her eyes widened at my statement. My hands didn't really dare to let go of the gun, making her look straight at it with a furrowed eyebrow and questioning gaze when she had finally pulled away from the hug.

I tried to hide it at first but she gave me that look that I shouldn't be doing this.

No, I can't back out now. And I literally won't.

He's planning something. Who knows who he'll try to kill next.

She became a stuttering mess in front of me, her index finger pointing at the Berreta. "Brother, you wouldn't do such a thing, right? Answer me!"

"Desperate times calls for desperate measures, Navii," I literally told her before I felt her hand trying to pry the gun out of my hands. Pulling it back and holding it up, she struggled to take it as she finally gives up afterwards, putting her hands on her waist.

"You can't just kill Augustus!" She kept on telling me but I decided not to listen. If I do, trouble comes in all of us.

"And why shouldn't I? He had caused too much mosfortunes in our life," I exclaimed, walking away from her to search for Augustus. "Who knows? If I let him off the hook, you'll be his next target."

"I don't want to risk any lives. Especially when Nicholas and Anne comes back." And she did not argue after that.

As soon as I came back inside, I saw a silhouette from upstairs. That must be him. But why was he going there? When I had finally realized that he probably would end Azaila for good, I made sure to aim straight at him.

Failure should not be on my side this time. I don't want to lose my lover in the hands of that bloody bastard.

I silently followed, making sure that he couldn't hear my footsteps. His blonde spiky hair was evident from afar so I knew that I wasn't mistaken that it was indeed him.

While his back was turned at me, I raised my M1911 and pointed it to his head. "So, you really had the audacity to shoot my lover."

"You should be ashamed of yourself."

My voice rang through the hall as he just gave me a smirk in return, getting out Navii's ivory gun and pulled back the hammer and turns around to point it at me. Not taking any more risks, I countered it, held his arm in place and made sure not to hesitate.

My hands pointed the gun straight at him and shot his leg.

I didn't want to kill him yet. I want it to be fair.

An eye for an eye.

His loud scream rang within the castle as he held his leg and fell down on the floor. The weight on my shoulders was lifted for a bit as he gave me a death glare that pierced right through my own.

"Damn you, Winston! Damn you to hell!: he screamed at me as he held the bloody leg - his hands still trying to reach for the gun that was on his right. Out of instincts, I kicked the gun away from him and put my foot on top of his chest.

"Bloody hell. Stop this madness, Augustus," I told him - putting pressure to his chest by almost crushing him underneath my foot. "Don't even try to make another bold move, Presley."

"I've already lost my loved ones. I'm not going to lose my lover in your hands now." Augustus then laughed at me - as if he thinks it was just a joke to him. Staring at him with a glare and furrowed eyebrows, he managed to get on my nerves as always.

"Do you really think that you could stop me?"

Something on the back of my mind clicked - almost wanting to shoot this bastard right here and now. But, I remember Quincy's word. I shouldn't kill people for the same of revenge. Taking my feet off, I made sure to leave a warning before I go.

"If you harm anyone ever again, I won't hesitate to do the shoot you again," I warned him before I shot the floor next to him to scare him much more.

Though, that bastard just did another laugh - mocking me before raising his hand to point at him.

"As if you could do that."

To make him feel offended, I removed the foot from his chest. When he was about to get up and reach his leg once more, I used my foot to kick him back and lay that same foot to make him stay there - as he should be.

"I can, Presley," I concluded as I saw him struggling to get free. As soon as I finally let go of him, he gave me a death glare.

"Damn you, Winston! You will pay for this!" he then screamed as left him bleeding, going to my room to protect my lover from that psychopath.
