Yoongi POV
RG: hey
Me: hey
We pause for a moment.
Me: what're you doing here?
She held up a bag of potato chips and a bottle of sweet tea.
RG: just hungry
I raise an eyebrow.
Me: at 2:30 in the morning?
She sighs.
RG: fine. I just needed some air. Your excuse?
Me: couldn't sleep
She nods understandingly, then smiles at me.
RG: you wanna do something?
Her words catch me off guard.
Me: l-like what?
I curse myself for stuttering.
RG: oh, uh, I don't know actually.
She smiles sheepishly.
RG: we could go to the park?
I shrug.
Me: sure.
We start walking towards the park, RG leading the way. When we get there, she gets a odd smile on her face and turns to me.
RG: can I show you something?
Me: I guess... sure?
She grabs my wrist and pulls me past a lot of trees. After a few minutes of tripping on every fallen branch and my shirt getting snagged on every bush possible, we reach a tree. This ones way bigger than all the others. A big tire hangs from a lower branch. RG smiles at it with a childlike glow in her eyes
RG: it's my swing. I hung it myself.
She looks so proud of it. I can't help but smile; she looks so happy.
She sits on the swing and kicks her legs a little. After a moment, she gets up.
RG: you swing. I'll push you.
Me: Are you sure it wouldn't break?
RG: yeah. It can support my weight and there's no way you're heavier than me.
I sit on the swing hesitantly and she pushes me. After a while of talking, a bit of silence, and me accidentally falling off the swing twice, I start to get really sleepy. As I drift away from consciousness, I'm not sure if I'm imagining it or not but I'm sure I hear singing. I'm sure it's RG, that's definitely her voice singing serendipity. I feel a wave of calm and a spark of happiness just as I fall asleep.
