19. House Tour - 2

PREVIOUSLY IN - MIRROR OF ERISED

James starts giving Harry a house tour. It starts off with the dungeons. But before they continue, they decide to get Sirius and Remus to help them out.

"Okay, Okay. That's enough. Come on, Prongslet. Let's get the house tour finished before lunch." Said James and dragged his son out of the room. Sirius and Remus followed them with smirks on their faces. They stopped when they reached the front door of the castle.

"Harry, this is the front door of the castle. You enter through here to enter the couch area. The double door on the right leads to the dining area and the kitchen of the castle. And as you can see, the huge French doors in front of you lead to the vast grounds of the property. We'll see the outside after lunch." Said James. Harry nodded as they went forward and faced the staircases. As you know the door to our right side leads to the dungeons. Why don't you see what the one on the left leads to?" said Sirius. Harry was awestruck when he entered a library that was bigger than the one at Hogwarts. It had an open plan and had enough lighting systems to light up the room during the nights and whenever there was a bad weather."Wicked!" was all Harry could say and this made the Marauders chuckle. "You wouldn't need to borrow books from the Hogwarts library to bring home for reference." Remus said. Harry turned towards his honorary uncle and nodded. They exited the place after Harry had extracted the promise of teaching him how to go through the index placed near the entrance of the library. "This is all that's there here in the ground floor (That's what you call the floor that has the main door in India). Now moving on to the next floor." Said James as he started climbing the stairs. The others followed him.

"This floor has a meeting room and a ball room on the left, a separate floo room for guests behind this door in the centre and the study rooms towards the right. The meeting room is used for family meetings and for various other official stuff. That is, which involves the Heads of other Houses and similar. The ball room, well, is the ball room. It's to hold balls as the name suggests. It's also used to host other functions and birthdays. The floo room is the room which we flooed into from Dumbledore's office this morning. That is used for guests to arrive in case of anything. Got it till here?" asked James.

"Yes, dad." Said Harry. "I'll tell you about the study rooms later on, okay?" asked James and went to the second floor after Harry nodded affirmative.
