"Dude! Shut up!" I heard Landon shout.

I pulled out my left earphone as we got to his mansion and said, "What? It's a fun song."

"That song's so freakin' annoying." he said as we got out of the car.

"Fine..." I said and played something else, "You get the beeeest of both worlds! Chillin' out, take it slow, then you rock out the show. You get the---"

"SKYE!" he shouts, opening the front door.

"Okay, okay." I said, laughing.

We put our bag on the couch and Landon sits down as he turns on the TV. I sat down next to him and smirked.

"Hey Landon, guess what?" I asked, normally.

"What?" he asks.

"Dude! Oh my god!" he shouts, pissed off.

"That's what you get for making fun of me at lunch and at your practice!" I said.

"You know what...." he starts and trails off.

"Uh huh." I said, waiting for him to finish.

He sighs and looks at my ipod, "I bet you have more annoying songs in there."

"I do, actually." I replied, scrolling through my playlists, "For example: Dora the Explorer theme song."

"You have that in your ipod?" he asks.

"Yeah." I replied, smiling, "It's good for playing during awkward silences."

"You're so wierd." he says as he flips through the channels.

"Thanks." I said.

"Hello, Skye. Landon. How was your day today?" I heard Mrs. Rhodes' voice behind us. I turned around and saw her, showing us her white teeth.

"Um, yeah." I replied.

"That's nice. Were you able to stay away from your boyfriend? Be sure to break up with him." she said.

Ugh. What a biotch.

"I will tomorrow. Don't worry." I lied, giving her a fake smile.

"Good." she said and turns to Landon, "Be sure to protect her."

"I will." he replies.

Mrs. Rhodes gives us a smile and then walks off.

"I don't like your mom anymore." I whispered to him.

"Yeah, she can be like that sometimes." he said.

"I don't want to break up with Roy. I think he's sweet." I said.

"You should, before my parents figure out that you're still with him." he said.

My cellphone beeps and I took it out from my bag, "Speaking of Roy, I got a text from him."

"Were you spying on my messages?" I asked, hiding the phone away from him.

Roy - Since its a thursday tomorrow, which means no practice. wanna come with me to the beach?

Me - The beach where you took me last time?

I put my phone away in my bag and looked at Landon.

"What?" he asks, giving me a wierd look, "You're smiling creepy."

"I need to tell you something." I said.

"What now?" he said, sighing.
