When we graduated college, I gave her a bracelet. It's an affirmation bracelet and we both have one. We made a promise to never lose it and always wear it.

We both end up finishing a course related to business. I love business and she doesn't. Alam na alam ko kung anong gusto niya and I so hate it when she started backing out of it because of her trauma. She started pushing herself to the things I know she would never enjoy working on.

Her father wanted her to take over their family's business. It's kinda a big company and he really needs a partner. Unfortunately, Naia isn't for that field. She belongs to flour and dairies, pans and ovens.

"I need a business man boyfriend. Iyong pwedeng asawahin sa future," I remember her saying that.

I was so pissed of that we started arguing about it. Gusto kong sabihin na nandito na ako. Why find stranger?

"Love is not a danger!" She disagreed.

"It is if not real,"

"Then we'll make it real! Hindi naman agad mahal na, 'di ba?"

That's true. I hate to admit but that's so true. Dahil sakaniya mismo ay nararamdaman ko 'yon. She doesn't love me today... But after days I know she will.

"Pleashu?" She tried using her iconic cute gesture to me. Tangina, ang cute niya. Buti na lang ay nalagpasan ko 'yon. Hindi ako pumayag.

Kaso...

"Sige na. Kung hindi magwo-work, edi tayo na lang," she told me when we we're watching. Nasundan iyon ng negative reaction pero wala akong pakialam.

I know we're possible to happen. We could happen. That's why I made a deal. I was smirking everytime I think of it.

After the seventh, the end. Baby, accept it. I am your cliff. I'm your damn cliff.

Kahit maliliit na bagay ay binibigyan ko ng meaning. Ang mga pagyakap niya at pagkindat ay nagbibigay saakin ng pag-asa. Damn, this girl really knows how to lift hope and make guys assume.

When I helped her get the brownies inside the oven, I saw how her cheeks blushed. Sus, crush niya na ako. Kinuha ko lang ang brownies ay crush niya na kaagad ako. Paano na lang kung...

"Hoy! Ang laking pera ang nilabas mo, a?" Si Kuya one time sa Skype. May inaayos akong papers nang tumawag siya.

"And so what? Sa pera ko naman binawas, ah!"

"I don't care, okay—"

"I don't care pala, e. Why meddle?" Tanong ko habang nagsusulat sa mga tseke.

"I'm just curious, Bro. Never put that money into waste. Never gamble—"

"I am gambling," I chuckled when he spit out loud profanities. Nasundan pa ng mga banta at insulto.

"Tangina mo, Sequi! Hindi ka pa nga consistent employee ng kompanya tapos isusugal mo lang mga pinaghihirapan namin? Tangina talaga ng mga bunso!"

Mas lalo akong natawa.

"Not literally, Kuya. Ang OA mo," sabi ko saka kumindat. "This for Naia. We have this mission and I'm going to manipulate it..."

"Huh? Anong manipulate—"

"Google mo, tanga!" Sabi ko at sinara na ang laptop ko saka kinuha ang iPad para tawagan si Naia. My routine. Gabi gabi ko ginugulo ang buhay niya.
