When The First Snow Comes ❄️

C H A P T E R 1 8

Chanyeol's POV.

I was waiting on the entrance of the building when the watch started counting. I started to panic again upon seeing the van on the other side of the road. I waited for it to U turn but the van stopped. I immediately ran towards the sidewalk.

Ms.Sung opened the door and crossed the road despite of my warning.
A red car suddenly appeared from nowhere and started speeding towards her. My mind got blank.
The only thing that matters to me is to save her.

I ran and pushed her hard causing her to fall over.

Everything happened fast. I got blinded by the car's headlights and when I opened my eyes... I'm already standing somewhere far from the scene...

and MinDong Hyung is beside me.

Am I dead? again!?!?

"You're not dead." he said as if he heard.

"W-what happened then?" I asked.

"I helped you---"

"Mr.Park!!!!!!" I abruptly turned my gaze upon hearing her voice. I can see
everything from where we are standing. She's lying on the cold ground struggling to get up. The car crashed on the other side of the sidewalk.

I was about to go to her when MinDong Hyung stopped me.
He shook his head. "It's cold! S-She looked hurt" I looked at Ms.Sung who kept on shouting my name.

"You can't help her now! She probably think you got hit!" he shouted.

"What do you want me to do!? Leave her there!? " I countered.

"Her manager is on her way. Stop worrying she'll be fine. You saved her" I stared at her. I want to help her so bad. I want to carry her and take her to the hospital right away. I want to kill that bastard who attempted to hurt her.

"You should go back first. That man saw everything. I took the dashcam and the cctv footage so no one will believe him. Let this issue cool down---"

"Where? Go back where" I asked confused

"On our office. Hello Mr.Park? That's your home" he sarcastically said.

"what!?!? How about my mission!?"

"We'll talk to old man and ask him about that"

I have seen everything since the moment she woke up, she freak out and that when she punched Mr.Lee at the police station. She's puzzled. I can see it on her face. I know her, she won't buy any of this shits. I'm thankful that Ms.Lee and her boyfriend are there for her.

I was watching the whole time with old man. He's not saying anything about the termination of the mission so I suppose I'll go back anytime soon.
I want to go back now. I want to talk to her so bad. I want to ask her if she's fine. She looked okay but I don't think she is. She's probably scared because of what happened.

Though MinDong Hyung is following her to make sure she's safe, I still feel uneasy. 

"Can I go back now?" I asked the old man for the 10th time today. He looked so done.

"Are you that worried to her now?"
I paused. Why am I so worried anyway?

"Ne? I-I have a mission right? And a-also I'm getting b-bored here"
I avoided his examining gaze.

"Just one more day." I sighed in defeat.

.
I don't know why, but those 3 days felt like forever. So when the old man finally allowed me to go back I can't describe my happiness.

I decided to just wait for her in front of her condo, so that if she'll ever shout at me no one can see.
I expected her to bombard me with questions and scold me for disappearing but what she did was something I didn't anticipate.

She run towards me and hugged me.
She's holding onto me so tight as if she's scared. I can't help but hug her even tighter.

I'm here don't be scared.
I want to tell her that but something is stopping me.

I caressed her head to make her calm.
She's trembling. Seeing her this weak makes me want to do nothing but protect her.

"I-I thought you d-died" she whispered on my chest. I smiled.
She's worried to me too?

"I'm sorry for scaring you" I said.

We stayed like that for a few minutes before she pushed me away. Avoiding my gaze. I tried so hard to catch her eyes but she won't let me. She's turning bright red and I can't help but laugh.

"A-ah what the hell" she breathed.
The air suddenly turned awkward.
I scratched my nape.

"Ah N-Ne how are y----" before I can even finish my question she slammed her door shut on my face.
"You're impossible" I said to myself.
She's really unpredictable sometimes.

*the next day*

"Mr.Park!!Cancel the meeting!"
She shouted. Everyone was startled. I was talking with the female employees when she suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

she's back at it again.

"Why? Everything is organized already---"

"I said cancel it!!!" her blood curdling shout echoed throughout the  hall along with the sound of her stilleto being heavily stomp on the glass stairs.

"ah jinjja" I reacted, but follows her anyway.

Everything went back to normal again. She being rude and me running errands for her. No one talked about the incident. Ms.Lee Rin was so happy upon seeing me as well.

I have learned that Mr.Lee was put in jail. He deserves that tho. Everyone indeed think that he's crazy. I think no one knows I'm involve aside from Ms.Lee and Ms.Sung. That's actually good. I'm still thinking why they aren't questioning my disappearance.

But I also don't know what to say and how to answer them incase they'll ask. No one will believe me anyway.
They won't understand me no matter how hard I'll explain.

Ms.Sung might not ask me anything but I can feel that she's keeping an eye on me. I often caught her staring at me as if watching my every movement. She's smart, and it's scaring me.

I have this odd feeling that she'll know what I am soon.
