Minerva sighed as she dismissed Pansy and Daphne from her office. The two girls who were clearly shaken up about the incident really didn't have any valuable information to spare—infact Daphne was so horrified that she had to take breaks in between her sentences to cry. Pansy on the other hand was swift and concise with her words, making sure her professors understood that they had absolutely nothing to do with y/n getting cursed. She was well aware of the fact that those in Slytherin house were always the scape goats in these situations.

"It's like we said, we walked out of the bathroom, y/n said she was going to take this necklace back to Dumbledore. And when she touched it—that happened."

"Very well, thank you miss Parkinson. We'll let you know when you can visit her in the medical wing."

Snape who was extremely bored with the mindless babbling done by Pansy and Daphne sat fiddling with the necklace on Minervas desk. It wasn't until Potter and the other two shuffled in side that he perked up. It was imperative that he shut down any assumptions Potter had, and judging by his pursed lips and straighten spine he already was looking to place the blame.

"Why is it that when something happens, it is always you three?" Minerva sighed holding her hands in front of her body.

"Trust me professor i've been asking myself that for years."

Harry— who could care less about Mcgonagall's concerns or the interrogation she would soon deliver—turned toward Snape. He was steadily lifting the necklace up, examining every aspect of the cursed jewelry.

" Oh Severus. What do you think?" Mcgonagall asked focused on the necklace.

"I believe that miss y/l/n is lucky to be alive."

"She was cursed wasn't she?" Harry questioned taking a step forward.

"Yes, she was." Snape mumbled setting down the cursed necklace and turning around toward the trio.

Harry who felt extremely sorry for y/n also felt the six years of conflict with Draco start to boil over. Their prolonged climax was surely coming and Harry—who was now caught in the midst of choosing between the high ground, or letting himself succumb to his teenage anger took another step forward.

"It was Draco."

Snape's face hardened as he heard Potters arrogant voice. He knew the boy would place the blame upon Draco, and if it wasn't for the fact he promised Narcissa that he'd protect her son Snape might've let his accusation go. But just like his father, Harry was persistent— he didn't back down from the growing tension in the room. Hermione and Ron shot nervous gazes toward Harry trying to get him to stop talking. They knew that Harry disliked Malfoy, but not enough to try and blame him for attempted murder of the Headmaster—and almost killing his girlfriend. While they all agreed Draco was a horrid person, Ron and Hermione would never believe he'd do something like this.

"That's a very serious accusation Mr. Potter."

"Indeed, and your evidence?" Snape hissed waiting to hear his answer.

"I just know."

"You just—know." Snapes pause further proved his disbelief in Harry's words and utter disgust.

Once again Harry had proved himself to be like his father. And to those who once adored James this might've been a sincere and thoughtful moment—that just like his father Harry was headstrong and believed to always be right. However in Severus' eyes his response was disgusting and prideful, and if given any sort of further attention, would end in Draco's demise.

"Once again you astonish me with your gifts Potter. Gifts mere mortals could only dream of possessing ." Snape made sure to keep his face stone cold as he confront Harry's response.
