Chapter 22

Y/n POV

I put more chairs against the door after we rested for a bit.

The zombies continued to bang against the door.

"Wow. Those zombies sure are indecent." Jeongyeon said.

"Why?" Yuna asked with a confused expression.

"Bc.......they're banging on the door." Jeongyeon said letting out a loud laugh.

Me and Yuna looked at the corner of a room where a cricket was chirping.

"When did that cricket get there? What do you think Y/n?" Yuna said putting a finger under her chin.

I shrugged and stared at the cricket.

"Hey! Why are you guys ignoring me now?!" Jeongyeon exclaimed.

"I think it snuck in from outside." Yuna said. "Hopefully, it's not a zombie cricket."

"Hey!! I'm here too!" Jeongyeon said getting right in our faces.

Yuna leaned back and said, "Ewww!" 

I just stood there staring at the cricket with Jeongyeon in my face.

I frowned. 

In my face? That sounds morbid. I thought.

Suddenly, we heard growling.

We instantly all tensed and turned towards the source of the sound.

"What was that?" Yuna asked with nervousness laced in her voice.

"I don't know but be on guard." Jeongyeon said.

Suddenly, we heard an even louder growl.

"It sounds like it's coming from a big animal." I signed.

"Let's see. But be careful." Jeongyeon said brandishing her metal rod.

We moved forward cautiously and slowly.

We heard another growl and a low groan.

It sounds like those dogs back at the library. I thought and glanced at the others.

I got my fists ready and Yuna got a thumbtack out.

Where did she get th-whatever. That doesn't matter. I thought shaking my head.

The sound seemed to be coming from behind a large stack of chairs and tables.

We stepped close to the stack and heard an even louder growl.

Yuna gulped and Jeongyeon held her breath.

"On my mark. Get ready to charge." Jeongyeon whispered.

Yuna and I nodded.

"Three." 

I took a deep breath and prepared myself.

"Two." 

Yuna got ready to stab whatever thing was behind the stack in the eyes.

"One!"

We all ran around the stack at full speed and charged at whatever was behind it.

What the- I thought and stopped.

"Wh-" Yuna said and stopped as well.

Jeongyeon tried to stop but her momentum carried her forward and she crashed into a table.

"Owww! I think I hit my breasts. Y/n can you massage them." Jeongyeon said collapsing on the ground.

I shot her a look before turning to the source of the sound.
