Tired

I almost cursed Earl for being late! Kung hindi pa niya ako pinagod kagabi ay sana nagising ako nang maaga. I lost the chance to study before going to school. Natataranta pa akong pumasok at basang-basa pa ang buhok.

I rushed through the crowded hallways and climbed upstairs where our patho classroom is. Nakahinga ako ng maluwag nang wala pa roon si Dra. Lim.

Ako ang pinakahuling taong pumasok. Okay na iyong late na ako kaysa naman sa ma-zero sa quiz. Mabigat pa naman ang units sa patho.

Desiree saved me a sit so I sat there. Nilabas ko ang aking ipad at iyong binded notes ko sa patho.

I reviewed all the things I studied last night and the previous day. Hindi na ako nagbasa, I just briefly scanned my notes like I'm in some horse race.

Tinandaan ko rin ang mga keywords na sinabi sa akin ni Ae. She said that Dra. Lim was also their prof in patho while she was still studying med tech. She adviced to only remember the important components and their concise definition. 'Di ko alam kung susundin ko ba iyon dahil med school na ito.

Midterms is just around the corner and I could already feel the pressure just by these quizzes. Sa thursday ay may quiz naman kami sa pharma. Next week ay doon na mismo ang simula ng aming midterms.

Pumasok na si Doktora na may dala-dalang booklet at answer sheet. Kumalabog ang puso ko kahit nagdadasal pa lang kami.

"All bags in front. No need for scratch papers for computation. It will be provided."

Pinamigay na ni doktora ang mga papel at saka tumahimik ang buong silid nang ma-receive ang quiz. Quizzes here are like mock exams. A total of one hundred items and you're only given one hour and thirty minutes. I have to maximize my time.

Sa unang parte ng exam, puro identification. Tama nga si Ae at napaka concise ng mga definition kaya mabilis kong matandaan ang mga terms.

Hanggang block 10 lang naman ang kailangang aralin pero naisip ko na rin ang mga kakaibang tanong ni Dra. Lim. Tama nga ako at nagbigay din siya ng questions tungkol sa Rheumatic at Cardiovascular Pathology. May cases rin na binigay si Doktora kaya roon ako nagtagal.

Sa kalagitnaan ng pagsasagot ko, patuloy na nag-vibrate ang phone ko. I forgot to leave it in my bag kaya naaabala na naman ako ni Mama. I'm glad that I have a hobby of silencing my phone all the time.

Baka magalit pa si Doc na ang ingay ko at palabasin pa ako nang 'di tapos. The remaining thirty minutes, nag-vibrate lang ang cellphone ko.

Kaya ko naman mag concentrate kaso nakakadistract na! I'm already frustrated with the last question kaya hinulaan ko na lang iyon. Good thing it's a multiple choice.

After the quiz, I handed my answer sheet and booklet to Doktora before I proceeded in getting my bag and leave the room. Ang mga kaklase ko'y panay na ang pagtatalo ng mga sagot. I did not listen though. Ayaw kong ikumpara ang sagot ko sa iba at baka hindi ako makatulog.

Binati ako nang tropahan ni Kerwin pagkalabas ko. Desiree said she'll study in the med lib kaya hinayaan ko na lang siya. Nag vibrate na ang cellphone ko sa huling pagkakataon kaya kinuha ko na.

I rolled my eyes upon seeing the name of my mother. I leaned on the railings while I look at the campus' grounds.

"Naku Mare! Akala ko kung anong nangyari sa'yo!" Natataranta niyang sabi.

I tried to calm down kahit pa sasabog na ako sa galit at iritasyon sa kanya. I wanted to cry, frustrated of my situation. When will she ever leave me alone? I have a life here in med school and this is important to me.
