This chapter is basically just set up for the next. The next one will be *smirks in evil author* interesting. Enjoy! Loves!!

Owen

What. Just. Happened? Reaching down I pick up the paper that Miss Sorenson placed on the desk in front of me. There are at least fifty names on the front and more on the back. 'As promised'? Am I missing something here? Sending a text out I try to make sense of what's going on.

Owen: Does someone care to explain why I have a list in my hand with many names from Miss Sorenson?

Victor: That's an- interesting answer. It may be best for us to explain everything in person.

I narrow my eyes at my phone. What could possibly have caused this? What occurred earlier to cause this shift? I don't like not knowing.

Kota: I really think this would be best explained in person. A new- development occurred over lunch.

Owen: Family meeting right after school at Mr. Lee's house.

A few affirmatives come through quickly. Looking over the list I have I recognize a few names. We haven't cleared anyone in this school completely but these names seemed ok. Was this proof that they weren't? What does this mean and why did she give it to us?

When I get to Mr. Lee's house after school everyone is already here. No one is speaking when I enter which is most unusual. Straightening my tie I look around. Everyone is here so what's with the silence? Raising my brow at Kota I take a seat. He meets my eye and my concern grows. Why does he look so nervous?

Victor breaks the silence. "Today I listened as Sang convinced Hendricks to transfer her out of a class. I was then able to watch her as a problem occurred between her and another student. Afterwards I lost her." None of this is news to me. I listened to the audio recording and was there when he watched the cameras.

I nod my head to get him to continue. With a deep breath he does so, "When going to lunch I was in a- uh-" a deep blush makes its way up his neck. "I was in a frenzy of sorts. I wanted to know who she was and what she knows. I have gone through every database I can find and nothing. I've tried finding her parents, nothing, I can't find her ANYWHERE. This made me- uh- lose focus."

Kota jumps in at this point. "I'm not sure how long she listened to us, I'm not sure exactly what she heard but I became aware of her presence only when she stepped right next to Victor. She proceeded to admonish us for gossiping about her and made a comment about Vic's systems and how to fix them I think." He glances at Victor to confirm this before continuing.

"Sang then went on to comment on something Victor had previously said in regards to her relationship with the Henshaws." North cuts in here and if I didn't know better I'd think him about to explode but that's just his face. With a growl he quickly stood and spoke.

"Yeah, does someone want to explain that shit now? I've been fucking patient but now I'm not." Snappy, snappy snappy. Though I must admit I'm curious as well. I know Victor and Corey are close but so are North and Brandon. If she has a connection to them both then how does Victor know and not the other?

Victor glances to the ceiling and shakes his head before speaking. "You remember the meeting at my place when Corey went rushing out freaking about meeting someone? Well, okay this whole thing is a long story so bear with me." Launching into the reasons behind the Henshaws entrance into the Academy and the project Victor was given years ago. He explains how he failed to update the security but it was a good thing because this project was keeping Corey from someone important. This by proxy kept Brandon from her.

"When they were at the hospital last night, after Bradon went back to sleep Corey texted me. Apparently Sang was this amazing hacker that he's basically been in love with for forever and he just found out. I don't have all the details on this matter but it makes sense and then she confirmed that it WAS her to get into my systems and- anyway. She's- I- yep ok I'm done now." Collapsing back on the couch everyone just stares at Victor.

Well it makes sense. This also confirms some of the things Kota suspected after meeting her in the woods but one part doesn't make sense. "Why and by whom was it deemed best for her to stay away?" Shrugs go all around but North just freezes.

"That damn fool. I'd bet my fucking bike that Brandon figured it out and said something before we knew she wasn't threatening us. Then when the bastard knew the truth he was pissed at himself and that's what caused the problems last night." North punctuates his idea by throwing one of the couch pillows at the wall. That does sound like something Brandon would do.

I nod my head to all of them and request they continue telling me what happened earlier. Nathan is the one to speak first. "After the comments about the Henshaws, Sang warns us again about leaving. She said something about people choosing sides and us needing to leave right away. Right before she left she said she could get us a list of people to take with us though. Luke went after her once we realized she was gone."

Luke jumps in with a giddy look in his eyes. "She heard me! I was sneaking behind her when she suddenly disappeared into a hall. Before I knew it she had yanked me by my shirt down the hall. She was totally all over me." This comment elicits scoffs from many of the boys. "After I asked her about that list she said she'd have it to one of us by the end of the day. I grabbed her arm when she was about to disappear again and almost lost MY arm in the process. That's all." A dreamy look crosses his face and his ears tint red.

I shake my head at his expression and pull the list from my jacket pocket. "Well gentlemen she did as asked." Handing the list to Victor so he can run them through our systems I stand. "We need to help her but I have a feeling she won't allow us to until everyone on that list is helped. Has there been any progress on finding her house?" A series of no's resounds. I didn't think so.

"That is our top priority, we do what we can for these people so long as they are as clean as she claims but we need to find her residence. There may be information there we don't know of yet. I have to go now. You all have your orders, Dr. Green?" Sean stands to go with me. He has a shift at the hospital and I'm to drive him. We have time before though so there might be a detour made. We'll see.

As we step outside everyone calls their good-byes. "Owen, I don't have to be at the hospital for a bit. Want to go for a walk in the woods? It's really nice out." As he talks Sean has already grabbed my hand and started walking. I would go anywhere he asked me to. Well, except maybe the circus. We basically live in one no reason to force myself to be around creeps in make-up with too big shoes.
