I waved a friendly goodbye to the two adults before Draco shuts the door, rather hurriedly. Ever since he found out that I could speak parseltongue, he has been acting strange towards me.

"Why didn't you tell me that you spoke parseltongue?"

Draco asks as hold Opal around my hands.

"It isn't that big of a deal."

I mutter as I concentrate on Opal with awe, instead of Draco.

"It is a big of deal."

He argues as I refuse to maintain eye contact with him.

"I am just able to talk with snakes, it isn't that huge of a deal."

I argue back.

We stay there silent in the hall. I play around with Opal as Draco watched me with silence.

"Are you afraid of me now?"

I ask without taking my eyes off of Opal.

There is a uncomfortable amount of silence. I sigh as I let Opal slither up around my neck.

"Seriously."

I mutter to myself in annoyance as I shove past Draco.

Draco and I eat lunch in silence, the air around us was uncomfortable to say the least. From time to time I could feel Draco's eyes glancing up at me, but he never said a word. I was angry, he tormented me for a year and is afraid of me because I can speak parseltongue? seriously? I was lonely as I was but now with Draco avoiding me, I was going to become even more lonely. The thought of being lonelier scared me, I was already going mad enough.

I rested my head onto my hands as I glared at Draco, who was still finishing up his meal.

"What?"

Draco sneers.

"You're seriously going to ignore me? After what you had put me through?"

I ask with a fiery glare.

"I didn't put you through the fires of hell."

I hear Draco mumble to himself.

I get out of my chair and storm over to Draco's chair. I fist his dark dress shirt in my hand and slap him across the cheek, causing his eyes to stare back at me coldly with shock. He quickly grabs my wrist and twists my body so that my back is facing him, I groan as he pushes my body against the table.

"I will kill you when you do that again."

Draco threats as his rings digs into my wrist.

I feel his grip tighten as he lets one hand roam to my neck, trailing a path of a icy feeling. His rings feel painfully cold as he grips onto my neck with force, I let out a breathy whimper as his face inches closer to my ear. To piss him off, I begin to giggle with humor.

"You think that this is a joke to me?"

Draco spat as he moved my neck back and forth to get his point across. I remain silent as he continues to pin me down against the table.

"Answer me."

He says, raising his voice.

"No."

I reply more seriously.

Draco lets go of my wrist and neck in a second, causing me to slump against the table with force. I quickly recover and watch him walk to his room as he adjusts his collar. I stood there in silence as I questioned myself. Instead of feeling anger I felt unsatisfied, as if I wanted him to keep on going.

But keep on going with what?

I walked to the living room, it only has been hours but I felt empty. I notice Draco laying on the couch with a book in his hand, clearly fast asleep. Hesitantly, I walk over and stand there. I noticed how peaceful he looks whenever he's asleep, I couldn't help but stare. My hands traveled to his pale face and caressed his cheek as he softly slept.

"Please don't hate me"

I whispered to him.

Draco's eyes flutter open as Celeste walked away from him, unaware that he had just heard everything. Draco wanted her hands to stay on him, to touch him one more time. Her warm hands and his cold skin felt euphoric, the contrast felt unique. He touched his cheek with his hand as he thought to himself about his unwanted feelings.

I feel Draco look at me as we sit across from each other, eating dinner in silence. I hated how uncomfortable it made me, him avoiding me. I would rather be teased then to be surrounded by silence. I wanted to converse with him, despite what he put me through. I dragged my salad around the plate before being told to stop by Draco. I sighed and rested my head into my hand for a couple of minutes.

"Are you alright?"

Draco asks, surprising me.

I nod as I continue to rest my eyes, waiting for the dizziness to go away.

"I'm just tired."

I mutter before leaving the dining room to lay down in the living room.

As I lay in the sofa with my eyes wide open at the ceiling, I couldn't help but think about the present and the future. I continue to think even as Draco stood in front of me.

"I'm sorry about everything."

I hesitantly say, he remains silent as he stands close to me.

"Can we just start being civil again?"

I ask, closing my eyes in the process.

"Sure."

Is all what Draco mutters as his hand gently touches my face, cooling me.

When I open my eyes, we both stare at each other in silence. Within seconds, Draco takes off to his room. I smile to myself as I expect him to face a gift that I left him.

Draco slowly unties the ribbon that wrapped his gift. When he opened the gift he noticed a small lilac note card that read,

To Draco:

I know that we have a weird dynamic but happy belated birthday. It's nothing special but I hope you treasure it.

- Celeste

He grabbed the black teddy bear that was decorated with a emerald green ribbon around its neck. It was something small yet cute, no one had ever given him a teddy bear before, not even his parents. He stored Celeste's note card in the desk drawer and held the teddy bear in his hands with a soft smile. This entire event felt new to him, he had never felt like this ever before. The feelings deeply scared him, but at the same time it comforted him.
