He found her by her dress. Glimpses of her wine colored gown slipped through the crowd of people. Clair stood and watched from a distance until her could get a good look at her. Once he did, he didn't make any move towards her.

A handsome young man twirled her around the makeshift ballroom floor. Her eyes were shut and everything seemed so pleasant. A huddle of people had appeared around the floor, watching as the two danced together. The soft tones of the piano floated across the sweet alcoholic air and between the two. In this moment she seemed at peace, frolicking with men as a young woman like herself often did. In the end he would most likely offer to buy her a drink and they'd go their separate ways, nothing more than that.

Clair didn't feel upset or any of the emotions he could've been feeling. Instead he felt happy, happy to finally she Cathryn looking at her best. Rendering innocent young men completely helpless with her beauty. Then dancing the night away. So Clair let her be, and decided to go back off in search of Ruby and Florence. Carefully, he maneuvered his way though the throng of bouncing people once more.
