YN POV
The school bell rings which indicated it's time for lunch. Walking in a big hallway but so suffocating with all the body heat creating in the atmosphere. Everyone is touching shoulder to shoulder like dominos, trying not to break the flow of the hallway. Walking past lockers, people, classrooms, the surrounding is just too familiar.
Lunch time, where everyone sits with their friends and chat or just do their homework so they don't have to do it at home. Lunch, is the one place I love. I get to hang out with my friends and not to worry about test and quizzes coming at my way. I can just chew on my food and talk to my friends without any interruptions by teachers.
I walked into the cafeteria and see many of those retractable, long, blue tables where everyone sits. The cafeteria is nearly empty since I got here early. The lunch line wasn't long yet, but it would extend all the way to back wall. Students walks in and take their seat and immediately started talking to their friends. I walked in and take my seat where my friends and I sit.
I walked down the aisle and sat down, waiting for my friends. One by one, my friends came in and sat at their spot in the table and some of them going straight to the lunch line so they can get their food quicker.
"YN!!" one of my friends shouted. It was Sky, who was my closest friend out of everyone. "YN!! Please don't leave me! I'll miss you! Take me with you to Japan. I'll sneak into your luggage and no one has to know."
"I think that's illegal but let's give it a try." I said sarcastically while rolling my eyes. She laughed and took a seat and our table. She is the only person that I believe I'll truly miss when I leave this bum school. She was like my rock throughout everything. She would pass her loud, positive, energy to me and I would give her the same energy back. She understands me and I don't know who else understands me more than her.
"YN, do you even know how to speak Japanese? I know you watch anime and all, but do you think 2 words is enough to get around Japan. Let alone at school there too?"Oliver says, sitting down right next to me. Oliver, my gamer and rich friend. Although he is rich, he's always humble and always helping my friend and I whenever we are in need.
"Its fine, i'll probably get the hang of it when i'm there anyways. Nothing to worry about." I said, trying not to sound worried for myself, but in reality i'm terrified to leave. I don't know how to speak Japanese! I just know my anime!
"Nah she's going to be struggling at Japan. Watch her call us complaining about how hard it is to navigate and talk to people." Patricia said truthfully, not beating around the bush. Patricia, my neighbor and my school buddy. Since we have so many classes together, we would always help each other with school work.
"Yeah, she's going to be like 'guys, buy me a ticket back to America right now.'" Jeremy said while chuckling a little bit.
"Guys stop being mean to her," Sky said pouting her mouth "She'll be fine, well not really fine, but she will manage!"
"Thanks for the optimism guys." I sarcastically said. Everyone laughed and continued on with a different conversation.
Lunch continued on, and people came up to our table telling me to have a safe flight to Japan and live my life there. Surprisingly, everyone knew I was leaving which was funny cause most of them don't even talk to me regularly. They probably only said like one sentence to me or a 'Happy Birthday' on my birthday.
