        [ thursday, morning, 10:35 am ]

Here I was in gym class, being forced to play girls versus boys volleyball by Coach Walker. But I wasn't even paying attention to the game score and was in the back with Ally. The ball wasn't even getting thrown in the back.

These past two days, I've been getting compliments and small talks, either about Luke and I's 'relationship' or if we're just friends with benefits.

And I've replied back with the same answers; 'we're getting closer' which is obviously a lie. Luke and I only have two classes together and the closest  we've gotten was me getting pushed into him. We've walked down the hall together and everything but nothing was too serious between us, as people think it is.

#Adaluke or #Laddie doesn't exist!

But the one thing that has been making me feel uneasy was that Calum hasn't really been texting me ever since Monday.

I even texted him first this time by saying 'hey cal, wazup?' and he'd reply back with 'nothing much, I g2g bye.' then the conversation would just end there after I say bye. It's like he's been too busy this past half week and feels like he's been ignoring me.

I just wish he was in at least one of my class but sadly he's not.

"Adalia, watch out!" Ally warns.

"Huh-" with that uttered out, the ball makes contact with my stomach, hitting me right in the guts at full speed.

My eyes widen as I yelped in pain and kneel down, "O-Ow."

"Sorry bout that, babe!" Nathan called out, the guy who served the ball on the other side.

Don't fucking call me babe.

"It's fine..." NO IT'S NOT FINE!

I want to kick him in the ballsack to show him how I feel.. but even I know that I won't go anywhere down south in a male figure, when I have this stupid curse stuck with me.

"Harper, get your head in the game! Bench now!" Mr. Walker shouts, blowing his whistle.

"Sorry.." I mumble out, getting up whilst clutching onto my stomach.

"Do you want me to take you to the nurse?" Ally asks, walking over to me in concern.

"No I'm fine but thanks." I sigh, taking a seat on the gymnasium's bench by the corner. She mumbles an okay and goes back to her position.

There were two others sitting on the bench as well;

Marcus Riley, the geeky guy in my math class, who broke his arm last week. The other person was a girl who was holding an ice bag to her forehead, that I'm not sure I know.

I drop down beside the girl while still holding onto my aching stomach.

The game goes on when the whistle blows. I watch as Nathan had a sly expression on his face, he goes over to Michael and whisper something to him. And they both laugh it out.

He totally aimed the ball at me on purpose, probably to get my face instead.

It's my fault I wasn't paying attention and daydreaming about my life problems.

Luke glances over at me, from the back of the gym to make sure I was okay. I give him a thumbs up to let him know I'm doing fine. Then he goes back to the game without another glance.
