Chapter Fourteen

"Jacob can we not tell the others that I'm moving in with you just yet?"

"If that's what you want, yeah."
He shrugged it off while we sat together on the living room couch watching the drama Arthdal Chronicles. I can understand most of it but not everything.

Every once in a while I would ask him what something meant and he most likely answers. He didn't understand one thing either so we had to pause it and look it up. Come to find out we didn't understand subordinates in Korean.

"Don't know what a subordinate is because we all think we're equal."
I favored that line though. That how it should be. No judgment towards anyone. Equality. Peace between people because we are all the same. People...human.

"Kevin?"

"Yeah?"

"You o-ok?"
He wipes my cheeks leaving a cold wet feeling behind. Was I crying?

"Oh sorry, yeah I'm fine."
I lightly tap his hand away and wipe my own tears. When I was done Jacob pulled me into a hug. A nice one. Sweet, warm, soft, and full of one feeling I could recognize but not name.

"I know who broke you...let me help you. Please?"
I felt like crying. Did I tell him that too? Oh well, I didn't care. He's the only one who knows and at least I can depend on him.

"O-ok."
I spoke and then he pulls away with a bright smile.

"Thank you."
He said then pecked my lips leaving me frozen. Then I really notice my tears. Quick, warm, and painful. Jacob realized what he did and freaked out and the only thing I could muster was a small 'good night' before picking up Binx and running to the room Jacob provided for me.

I cried myself to sleep. I had no other action. Binx laid by my side while I did so I just let me cuddle him while I bawled.
