chappy 8 ; Quirk battles

The quirk battles had finally approached their ending leaving off with kiri vs. uraraka with kiri winning. Although kiri was happy he couldn't help but shiver in fear when he saw his next opponent. Todoroki shouto.

everyone in the class knew how powerful todoroki was and now with the new year starting and him ending last year with using his fire side. kiri could only imagine the awakening he was about to get .

Todoroki was not going to look weak in front of his sister what no one knew was y/n was more powerful than shouto . he has tried for years to beat her and compete at the same level as her so, with their dad taking her away and most likely working on building up her quirk to military level with no breaks for 2 years shouto could not seem the same in front of his sister .

he had to show he was stronger maybe not in reality but he would show he had strengthened his quirk close to its maximum .

something flipped in shouto and caused him to want to win every match so he could finally beat y/n . he was going to beat y/n ,sister or not.

y/n was excited put simply she wanted to see what shouto was capable of. the last time she saw him he was closed off and refused to use his fire side in order to anger their father. Even though he refused to use his whole power shouto was still powerful and it showed when the two of them were forced to fight .

shouto and kiris battle began with everyone on the
upper level intrigued .

bakugou couldn't help but stand behind y/n , who sat back in a chair, watching her facial expressions more so than her brothers battle . he wanted to know if she knew about how powerful her brother was .

of course he knew they were siblings how couldn't she know but by the way y/n had a confused and excited glint in her eyes . he assumed she had yet to see just what her brother could do . He was interested In the surprise it was gonna bring her when he himself took her brother down . He wanted to bring him down in front of you . he wanted your attention .

Todoroki and kiris battle started off calm and collected until shouto tried to trap kiri in a tunnel of Ice causing kiri to use his hardened quirk to beat his way through the ice . shouto knew that even if kiri could beat through the ice if he kept him near ice or enclosed in it kiris body temperature would severely drop which would cause him to forfeit the match .

kiri and todo played cat and mouse for a while until kiri eventually beat his way through one ice enclosure and quickly ran to another to throw shouto off and make him think he was in the ice enclosure in front of him when really he was behind him . kiri rammed himself through the Ice behind shouto ,knowing shouto was not that great at hand to hand combat. 

but much to his surprise shouto wasn't taken aback nor did he even turn around to give kiri attention all that could be heard in the arena was shoutos calm voice saying

" do I look like bakugou to you ?

would I hit you so hard with force right out the gate unless I had a plan ? tch( that means he sucks his teeth 😭) come on kirishima i'm sure even you know better"

before kiri could stop himself from flying through the air towards shouto ,as he came out of the tunnel ,shouto beamed two ice like sabers and threw them at kiri . kiri not being able to dodge decided to try to steal bakugous move and twist himself in the air and use his hardened body to drive himself into the ground near shouto to try to knock him off balance and shake him off .

Much to his surprise shouto had already thought of this idea and it became clear shouto had been planning from the beginning .

bakugous eyes couldnt help but raise in shock as he finally understood what shouto was trying to explain to weird hair . 

shouto had tricked kiri from the start he created Ice structures all around them and left himself standing on one in the middle of all the structures high enough that if it was melted and turned into a pool shouto could sit on the edge in a lifeguard form but , just as bakugou was about to scream for weird hair to get away .

y/n mumbled under her breath

" shouto who are you trying to impress with this death match "

as she had her head down and clearly seemed very upset . he finally figured out this was too much even for icy hot.

shouto waited until kiri was on his way falling down towards the ground and melted all the ice around them except for the one he was standing on creating a wave of water ,similar to a pool , and watched kiri fall into it ending with a

'thpnk'.

shouto walked towards the edge of his ice sculpture breathing out, like what he just did was the easiest thing on the plant , sat on the side and crossed his legs leaning back on his arms and said

" now who's next ?"
