I woke up to the sound of my phone letting out a few tunes before silencing, indicating I had received some messages. I roll over onto my side with a heavy sigh and reach over to my nightstand to grab my phone. I slowly open my eyes, slightly being blinded by the bright light emitting from the screen.

Broccoli Boi🥦 - hey is 3pm okay?
Sunshine ☀️- That's perfect! See you then

I put my phone down and stare at my ceiling before my cheeks heat up as I sling my arm over my face. I can't believe I kissed him last night, it's like my body acted on its own. I had no control over myself, it just.....happened. I never even really gave him a chance to react or say anything back, in fear of him rejecting me. But I guess if he were to reject me, he wouldn't want to go out with me later today. Maybe he thought it was some kind of friendly gesture.

I toss my covers off of me and climb out of bed, making my way downstairs.
"Asahhhiiiii." I whine tiredly as I make my way down the stairs. I freeze seeing a woman wearing an oversized tshirt with messy blonde hair and bright amber eyes. That's Asahi's shirt. My stomach twists and churns as I stare at the woman who was leaning over the counter.
"Oh hey! Goodmorning sunshine." Asahi chirps cheerfully from behind the counter, preparing breakfast. "Y/n this is Jess. Jess this is my little sister Y/n." He gestures over to the woman. I wobble into the kitchen and give the woman a small wave.
"Hello." I smile shyly.
"Hey, nice to meet you, Asahi has told me a lot about you." She smiles warmly at me. Wow she's pretty.
"Really? Awww and to think this big ole loaf was embarrassed of me." I snicker as I elbow Asahi in the side.
"Hush up." He whines, rubbing the spot I elbowed him while Jess let out a small giggle.

That morning I had breakfast with the two of them, embarrassing Asahi as much as I could while Jess listened, laughing at all the stories I told her. She was pretty funny, she was super laid back, and seemed to be perfect for Asahi. They met at a mutual friend's party and occasionally hung out within their friend group before they slowly started hanging out alone together. As I watched the two of them interact, I couldn't help but feel warmth spread through my chest. Asahi seemed so happy, his smile was wide and his eyes were bright. Her laughter filled the room with joy and her smile sent a familiar sensation through me.

She teased Asahi about small things along with me, causing me to hold my stomach as I laughed. His occasionally leaned over, placing a kiss on her temple or her cheek. Her eyes were filled with admiration and love for my brother, her smile would never falter, and her energy was so radiant.

She gracefully reached over, wiping a piece of food off my cheek gently, causing me to freeze. My eyes widened as my cheeks began to heat up, my chest began to burn, along with my throat as I looked at her. She gave me a warm smile, her eyes a bit wide in fear that I didn't the kind gesture.
"Oh-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to overstep my boundaries." She apologizes, her face red from embarrassment.
"N-No don't be. It's just," I look over at Asahi who had wide eyes as he watched the two of us, I couldn't help but let tears begin to form before I looked back over at Jess, "you remind me a lot of our mom. I guess that's why Asahi likes you, your just so.....I'm not sure how to explain it. Kind? Sweet? I'm not sure." I chuckle, rubbing the back of my head. She stares at me a bit, mixed emotions flashing in her eyes before she gives me a warm smile.
"From what I heard, she was an amazing woman....so to hear that from you...means a lot. Thank you."

After breakfast and helping him with the dishes, I told him about Izuku and I's plans. Of course, that caused him to go into a teasing fit about how he knew I would end up liking him and how we were going on a date. It wasn't a date, we were just hanging out. Right? Jess tried to stop Asahi from adding to my anxiety, giving me some kind reassuring words but it didn't work, my stomach was burning from the inside out. I suddenly felt sick. Oh god.

Soon 2:40 rolled around and I was standing in front of my closet, a towel wrapped around my body and my hair. Why is this so hard? It's just ice cream. I just need to dress normally and act casual, no biggie. I tossed the towel on my head aside and ran my fingers through my damp hair in frustration. Come on this isn't hard! Just pick a stupid outfit!

I grab my white overalls and a (f/c) crop too and toss it on the bed. This will have to do. I begin to dry my hair and the rest of my body more thoroughly, before I brush out my hair and put on my undergarments then my outfit. Just as I finish putting on my outfit, my phone beeps and my heart begins to start pounding in my chest.

I grab my phone with excitement before my face contorts into a sour expression with a frown. It wasn't Izuku unfortunately, it was just Tsu checking in on me. I texted her back before I headed downstairs. I sat on the couch and waited for my phone or a knock at the door to indicate Izuku was here but.....nothing.

I let out a heavy sigh, disappointment heavy in my chest as I make my way upstairs. Just as I'm about to go into my room, Jess walks out of my brother's room and catches sight of me.
"Hey how was your little get together with your friend?" She asks me sweetly. A burning sensation filled my throat as I tried to hold back my tears. I kept my eyes on my door, my back facing her.
"He uh......didn't show up." I inform her.
"Oh no...did he tell you why or anything?" She asks me.
"No...but it's fine, I'm sure it must've been important...I'm going to finish some class work. Night Jess." I look over my shoulder, giving her a weak smile before going into my bedroom and closing the door silently behind me.
