Chapter XXVI: These moments

Jungkook's POV

"Does my baby want desert? I have some of your favorite cake if you are still hungry..." I ask Y/n, watching her take a sip of her water. I wouldn't allow her to drink any alcohol, though she is of age now. I didn't want either of us to be intoxicated this night. She didn't argue, so I assumed she was alright with it.

"I don't think I will be able to eat anything else for a year, thanks to you," she says with a pout. "Are you trying to make me gain weight?"

I laugh. "You are beautiful in whatever shape or form. As long as you are happy with yourself, I will be as well..." she smiles, standing from her spot at the dinner table. She takes a hold of her dish, and I quickly take it from her hands. "I will do the dishes."

"But you've already cooked dinner..."

"And it's your birthday. I'm alright cooking and doing the dishes. There's only the two of us anyway," I retort, walking to the sink where I begin the chore. The it isn't as much a chore if I don't dislike it.

After several minutes, I've finished with the dishes, and I make my to Y/n who is sitting patiently for me on the couch. It's time I give her my final gift to her. It's very special, and I hope she enjoys it. I'm nervous she won't like it, or feel like it's too much. I love her more than I could explain, so I'm hoping she will be equally as happy when I give it to her. I sit down next to her, the item in my pocket, and she looks at me. "Hm?"

I smile, leaning in closer to press my lips on hers gently. She kisses me back with a smile in the kiss, and I break away. "I have my gift for you..." I say. Her eyes brighten up and it's the most adorable thing I have seen her do. My chest becomes bubbly and light when I see it. My hand goes into my back pocket to retrieve the small box that holds her gift. I push the box into her hands and she smiles.

"Are you perhaps proposing to me?" She asks, glancing at me.

"Not yet," I reply, watching her cheeks turn colors. She looks down at the box and opens it. Her eyes stare at the silver ring that sits in the white cushion, glistening at the light. "This is a promise ring. It's my way of saying to you that I want to spend the rest of my life with you..."

Her eyes peek up at mine with small tears in them, as her mouth falls open. I smile even more seeing her emotions. "Jungkook, this is too much. How can I deserve you?" She throws her arms round my neck, hugging me tightly. My heart warms tenfold at her actions, her small body pressing against me, and her sweet scent that makes me want to just hold her for the rest of my life. She releases and presses a sweet kiss on my lips, then pulls away to eye the ring, whilst still clinging to me. I take the ring gently from her delicate hands, and place it on her right hand, on the ring finger. It's symbolic.

"See, now your hands and neck are both labeled with my love," I say with a giant smile on my face. She giggles, intertwining our hands together. Once again she kisses me, and I kiss her back with the same force, my two lips clasping her bottom lip, sucking it gently. My free hand holds her chin, guiding our lips to break and reseal delicately. I slip my tongue into her mouth, tilting my head more to kiss her more deeply. Her hands brace themselves on my cheeks, pushing us closer together. My body feels more excited the more this continues, and the best part about this is that I don't have to hold back anymore. I can finally have all of her tonight.

My nose brushes against hers gently as our tongues intertwine. She sits herself up more so she can lay her arms on my shoulders as our kiss becomes more and more passionate by the second. My hands drifts down from her chin to her neck, my hand coming in contact with the chain of the silver necklace I gifted her. I run my hand up the side of it and all the way to the back so I feel her hair on my fingertips. I grip it slightly, pulling her head back so I can release from the sloppy, wet kiss.
