Chapter-19: Superstitions

Next morning ~
Anirudh- Bondita aur kitni der?? Jaldi karo hume Tulsipur ke liye nikal na hai. Kaka humara intezaar kar rahe honge.
Bondita(shouting)- aai pati babu bas 5 min
Anirudh- kya Bondita main adhe ghante se yaha khada hu. Jaldi karo
Bondita- haa baba aa gayi
Bondita came out of the room wearing a beautiful black saree which enhanced her beauty. Anirudh was speechless. He had no words to describe her beauty.

Bondita- pati babu chaliye main aa gayi
Before Bondita could take a further step, Anirudh pulled her close to him and held her waist.
Anirudh- tum bohot sundar lag rahi ho Bondita
Bondita(blushing)- aapka shukriya
Anirudh- tumhe dekhte rehne ka mann kar raha hain.
Bondita- achha toh aapko abhi der nahi ho rahi hai. Aap na ek kaam kijiye aap aise hi din bhar Yaha khade hokar dekhte rahiye main chalti hu.
Bondita went towards the motor car and sat down.
Anirudh- arre ruko Bondita main bhi aata hu.
They both sat in the car and Anirudh started driving.
All this time, Anirudh and Bondita were chit chatting about their family and friends.
Suddenly Bondita saw something which made her look pale.
Bondita- pati babu jaldi gaadi rokiye.
Anirudh- kya hua Bondita?
Bondita- waha dekhiye
Anirudh and Bondita saw some villagers trying to kill a young girl. A man was hitting her with a wooden rod.
Anirudh and Bondita ran out to see what was happening.
Bondita(shouting)- yeh kya kar rahe hai aap log. Iss bachhi ko maar kyun rahe hai??
Man1- aree Isse maare nahi to kya kare. Isne kaam hi aisa kiya hai.
Bondita- issne aisa kya kiya hai Jo aap isse itna maar rahe hai?
Man2- aree kisi paraye mard ne isse haath lagaya hai. Yeh ek ashudh aur charitrahin ladki hai. Aree iski zindagi barbaad ho gayi hai. Ab kon vivaah karega isse. Aise apmaan sehne se toh achha hai ki isse mar jana chahiye.
Bondita(shouting)- bass bohot ho gaya
Man1- aap kripaya bich mein na aaye choti malkin.
Bondita- yeh anyay hai iss ladki ke saath. Kya aap log insaaniyat bhul gaye hai....ek choti bachhi ko mar rahe hai. Aapko sharam nahi aati. Aur yeh bachhi kaise hui ashudh aur apavitra. Agar kisi paraya mard ne isse haath lagaya hai toh usme iss bachhi ki kya galti. Kya aap logo ne kabhi socha hai ki iss bachhi pe kya beeth rahi hogi jab kisi paraya mard ne iske saath jabardasti karne ki koshish ki. Aree aap logo ko toh isse sahara dena chahiye isse samjhana chahiye lekin aap log isse maar rahe hai. Sharam aani chahiye aap logo ko.

All the villagers stood silently listening to her and feeling ashamed of themselves. The girl was crying bitterly.
Bondita hugged her in order to console her. Anirudh who was standing there was feeling proud of his Bondita.
Man1- Hume maaf kar dijiye choti malkin humse bohot badi galti. Humne bohot galat kiya hai iss bachhi ke saath. Hum abhi isse iske ghar chod ayenge aur aage se aisa nahi karenge. Hum chalte hai. 
Saying this the villagers left the spot. Anirudh came and stood near Bondita.
Anirudh- Bondita aaj main garv mehsoos kar raha hu. Garv hai ki tum meri patni ho. Garv hai ki tumne aaj gaon waalon ke khilaaf awaaz uthaye.
Pata hai Bondita mujhe bohot khushi ho rahi hai ki mere sapne ko sach banane mein tum Mera saath de rahi ho. I am very proud of you Bondita.
