Jungkook stepped closer to the shore, letting his feet come in contact with the violet-colored water of the ocean. The sun was finally setting after a long day, and the mild breeze of the ocean brushed against his hair.

Jungkkok let out a sigh and closed his eyes. He lifted his head a little as he took in the scent of the vast, blue sea. It had been a while since he had visited the shore to enjoy the smell of the ocean, and the feeling of the sand bellow his bare feet. It was mostly because this place still held memories he didn't find welcoming.

But today was an exception. The leader of Fire Tribe had asked Jungkook to meet him here for an important meeting.

Jungkook hadn't wanted to come at first, but when Taehyung had explained to him that it was about Fire Tribe and Earth Tribe's possible unity after almost two decades of separation, Jungkook's interest had been caught.

So now Jungkook was waiting patiently for Taehyung to show up so they could discuss.

The thought of talking to him made him slightly uneasy. It had been a while since the two held a normal conversation, and it surely felt like Taehyung was nothing but a stranger now.

It was better for them to stay like that though. . . Even if the broken pieces of his soul desperately yearned for Taehyung to come back to him.

Suddenly, Jungkook's ears twitched when he heard someone clearing their throat from behind him.

The Earth Tribe leader immediately turned around and met eyes with Taehyung. The two stayed standing there in silence, the only sound that could be heard where the waves of the now saddened ocean crashing against one another.

The two examined each other.

Taehyung seemed much broader than before, and his features seemed to have matured over the years. His hair was still as long and silky as Jungkook had remembered. But it was sadly being tied up instead of being let free to flow against the breeze.

Jungkook had slightly changed as well. He looked slightly older and his jawline seemed more pronounced. His violet eyes were now an olive green, and his once short hair had obviously gotten longer and a bit messier.

After a pause of silence, Jungkook was the one to break the ice by dipping his head. "Leader Taehyung."

The leader blinked before dipping his head as well, his movement slightly awkward. "Leader Jungkook."

"You called me here for a reason, so you might as well speak," Jungkook said, his eyes growing cold and unreadable as he fixed them on Taehyung.

Taehyung's stomach churned with uneasiness. He didn't like that gaze, especially when Jungkook directed it at him. But Taehyung didn't let himself get intimidated and straightened his back confidently. "It's about Beomgyu and Yeonjun. . . And our tribes as well. I'm very sure you're aware of their interactions and the other warriors following their examples."

"Beomgyu and Yeonjun. . . Yes, I'm very aware of it too." Something flashed in Jungkook's eyes, but the emotion had disappeared a bit too quickly for Taehyung to figure out what it had been. "One of my newest warriors came back with a bond as well."

Taehyung nodded before going on. "Ever since the moon created the island, there have been four tribes living in peace amongst each other. Unity is what has kept that peace alive, and it's the reason as to why the tribes remain stronger than ever. . ." Taehyung let out a huge sigh. If this went wrong, he was going to make a fool out of himself and his tribe would be deeply humiliated. "I want our conflicts to go away. There's no need to hold such rage towards one another any longer."
