As he walked through the undergrowth of the jungle, the 18-year old's feet got tangled between the roots of a tree. He had no idea that the said roots was there since everything was practically covered with mud, fallen leaves and tiny weird-looking bugs. Rightly so, the clumsy teenager tangled over his feet and came tumbling down onto the leaved-ground.

"Owie."

At the sudden noise of the crash and the small whimper coming from the younger, Yeonjun's protective instincts flared up, so before he knew it he was already helping Beomgyu up. "Beomgyu-ah, are you okay?"

Beomgyu smiled at him and nodded his head to reassure him. " yeah. I'm fine, I'm fine,"

After carefully wiping the mud off Beomgyu and brushing his hair to the side, Yeonjun let out a chuckle. "You're still as clumsy as I remember."

Beomgyu rolled his eyes and nudged the older's shoulder with his head. "Oh, hush. It's only because I'm used to the smooth floors of the facility."

At the mention of the facility, the cruelty that he and his other friends had endured came rushing back. A shiver was sent down his spine if he had suffered. . . How much suffering did his friends had to endure without him?

Even though his dark thoughts filled his mind, Yeonjun shook his head and let out a sigh, him and his friends weren't there anymore. They had escaped to the islands safe and sound. There was nothing to worry about anymore. His friends were with him now. . . Beomgyu was with him now.

Beomgyu stared at how Yeonjun's eyes darkened and how his broad shoulders seemed to be getting tense. He looked distraught too, as if he had been reliving a memory that forced into his mind without permission.

The younger lowered his gaze towards the leaved ground. He knew about the older's pain, and how much it must've hurt to even think about not seeing the people you've come to love and grown up with. He understood Yeonjun and Yeonjun understood him, it was one of the reasons as to why they had fallen in love and it was the reason that had explained why Beomgyu had welcomed Yeonjun with joy instead of resentment.

Yeonjun blinked with surprise when Beomgyu's arms curled around his waist and pulled him into a hug. But Yeonjun relaxed nonetheless, he slightly bent down and buried his face against the younger's neck crook. He slowly closed his eyes and took in the scent of the younger; it was slightly masked by the smell of the ocean, but the familiar scent of banksia flowers was still there.

Three years. He hadn't been able to find a scent like Beomgyu's in three years. . . Let alone find a creature like him. Maybe it was his romantic disinterests towards the members of his tribe, or the fact that he that he hadn't been able to move on from Beomgyu. . . But one thing did seem clear, he had missed Beomgyu for a long time, maybe a bit too much if you asked one of his island friends.

After a while of getting comfortable with each other, Yeonjun pulled away and gazed at the younger's face. Having the younger by his side like this just felt so unreal to him, so much that. . . He began to let his free hand wander to Beomgyu's cheek. They were still so rosy, his stripes had become more visible, and his eyes. . . The same hazel, doe eyes that stared back at him were still as shiny as he remembered. His pretty pink lips. . . Were they still as soft as he remembered too? Well. . . You bet that he was going to find that one out.

As soon as Beomgyu realized that Yeonjun's eyes were getting glued to his lips, he felt surprised, but was still going to accept the kiss whether if it seemed like a fast approach or not. The younger began to get ready. He followed his old protocol; make his eyes flutter shut, make a tiny pout in anticipation, rest his hands on Yeonjun's chest and let the older take the lead.
