Clouds rumbled in the sky, thundering with chaos as the timer of the Elemental's savior began to run out. From the deep, raging noises of the sky and the misty clouds ready to bring in rain to clear out the smoke, the cry of a hawk could be heard.
Its head tilted as its wings brushed against the smoke and the mist; its large green-and-blue eyes blinked downwards, the dark pupils dilating with fury as it spotted Eclipse's traitor limping alongside two warriors from Fire Tribe.
That insignificant worm! How dare he get away?!
Another cry left the hawk's beak as its talons elongated, wings tucking in as it plummeted down the sky maliciously. Its eyes fixed upon Yeonjun's hideous brown eyes, claws ready to tear them out of his skull now that the warrior was too weak to notice its upcoming attack.
Suddenly, before he could amplify the damage done to Yeonjun, a heavy weight crashed against the hawk mid-air, the impact being hard enough to make the hawk cry out with surprise. Its wings drew open again and its talons closed up as feathers were flown into the dark sky, their bright green hue sticking out within the darkness of the sky and the large brown feathers of the hawk.
"How about you attack someone who's as conscious and aware as you?!" A green parrot squawked furiously, his beak tainted with the blood of the hawk. "You've wasted plenty of time looking for me, so you might as well go for it." The feathers on his head ruffled madly and his eyes blazed with fury, how dare this shoddy bird threaten the life of Yeonghon and Jingu's firstborn!
Today was supposed to be a perfect day, but as soon as Toto had felt a rush of anxiety ruffle his feathers, he knew that something had gone terribly wrong within the island. The way that his heart dropped when he saw the four souls helplessly trapped within the flames made the poor bird almost suffer from a heart attack, desperate to fly away and find help before it could be too late for the young sons of the Elementals.
But out of everyone he wished he had been able to save was the now half-dead savior of those young ones. He knew about the prophecy and what will happen to Yeonjun; yes, the Head Warrior would die off whether any of them wanting it, but Toto refused to let Eclipse or his little spies torture him during his last living hours.
"Toto?" The hawk suddenly started, gazing dumbfoundedly at the green parrot flapping before him. The parrot looked rather small and extremely scrawny in comparison to his intimidating phoenix counterpart. The strong sun-gifted wings had become smaller and weaker. And the flashing fire-like coloration of his fiery feathers were now dull in comparison; a tactic to disguise himself amongst the other parrots around him. Toto really seemed to have hit rock bottom; a king forced out of his throne and robbed of his crown.
"My, you've downgraded yourself." The hawk snickered as the two birds flew around each other, sizing each other up as they prepared to attack. "What happened? Traded your little crown to live among peasants and eat their fruit?" The hawk finally launched himself at the parrot with extended talons, claws shining against the dark clouds of the sky. He was expecting Toto to be as slow as the flock he'd killed with the other spies; but despite his new form, the green parrot was too fast, evading the attack in a swift manner that left the hawk bewildered.
Toto then launched forward, his own small yet sharp talons extended, raking his deadly claws along the hawk's back. The hawk cried painfully, turning around and biting Toto's talon with his beak. Toto cawed loudly, but used the attack to hold the hawk closer and move his head forward to the hawk's face, mercilessly sinking his beak into one of the hawk's eyeballs and pulling back into the socket that now lay empty, making some justice for what had happened to Soobin.
