"Yeonjun?" A voice called. "Yeonjun. . ."

Yeonjun's ears twitched. His eyes were closed, but he knew where he was. He knew it by the way his blue bangs lifted and flowed to a familiar rhythm he had grown to fear. He tried to open his mouth, but when he did, water invaded it. He was underwater. . . He was drowning.

His eyes were still tightly shut but his fear didn't ease, it only worsened. The 20-year old moved his arms with desperation in an attempt to lift him himself up towards the surface and breathe, but his efforts were useless as he suddenly found himself sinking even more towards the darkness of the water.

He was scared, but. . . the water wasn't at fault. He was scared of the voice that called him, he was scared of the being he had encountered when he first came to islands. . . When he first tried to go back to his friends by venturing into the ocean. . .

"Yeonjun. . . Yeonjun. . . Yeonjun!" The voice repeated, suddenly getting louder and closer to him.

The 20-year old flattened his deer-like ears and pressed them against the side of his head with his hands. He wanted the voice to stop, he wanted the tightness in his chest to leave. . . He wanted his soul back and finally be set free from the claws that had trapped him all those years ago.

"Can't you hear me, little one?~"

At the sudden purr, Yeonjun's eyes finally flung open. His heart accelerated and made him let out an internal scream of terror at the sight of a feline figure with long whispers, and two big different-colored eyes. The big eyes that were always watching him and supervising his every move. Those eyes were Yeonjun's greatest fear. . . Yet he had been able to resemble them so well.

You see. . . Three years ago when he had gone out to the sea and tried to return to his friends, Yoongi hadn't been able save him in time. Yeonjun had swam too deep into the water and hadn't been able to come back up before his lungs had filled with water and his heart had stopped palpitating. He had been destined to die that day but that creature. . . That creature had given him another life after he had lost it at the sea. Back then he had thought that this cat was his salvation. . . But he was young and naive to ever have believed that, because this awful cat had turned into his worst nightmare.

"Why didn't you answer me, Jjuni?" The feline tilted his head to the side, a crooked smile spread along his round face as his eyes became even wider, giving the already creepy cat a more disturbing look. "I don't remember you donating your tongue for me to eat it."

Yeonjun shook his head, feeling like he was going to pass out as his face began to get blue at the lack of air. The cat kept smiling, he knew that Yeonjun was suffering. . . But he loved it. It entertained him. He loved seeing Yeonjun suffering, he loved to watch how the 20-year old's sanity vanished little by little by every day that passes. He loved every bit of it.

"Oh. . ." The cat let out a purr and sat down. "That's right, you can't breathe. Ha! My bad." After a creepy crackle, the cat unsheathed his claws and clawed at either side of Yeonjun's neck, giving him gills and the gift of breathing underwater until it came the time for him to wake up.

Yeonjun gasped. His newly made gills rapidly opened and closed as they took in the dissolved oxygen in the water. "W-What a-are you doing h-here?" Yeonjun stuttered due to how terrified and nervous he was. He hadn't seen this cat for a good while, but the fact that the creature was visiting him could still make his fair skin crawl.

But the cat paid no attention to the terror in his voice as he examined his claws quite calmly. "I knew it's been a while since we last saw each other, but I presumed it'd be better to visit while you were in a good mood, you know," He finally looked at Yeonjun, a smirk forming on his face before grooming his claws. "Since you seemed to have enjoyed your little night with your mate."
