A dark hawk flew high in the sky, his sharp eyes analyzed every tree, every branch, and every nest in search of another bird who had disappeared along with the old elementals.

That certain bird was not a pet, but a companion to Hwajae; carrier of the fire element. After Hwajae's escape with the other elementals, it had been known that his fiery companion had gone into hiding as well, disguising himself and his fire-blazing feathers until the new batch of elementals came back.

But despite Eclipse's wish, the new search for the missing phoenix had turned out fruitless once again.

The hawk flew over to a tree nearby the Fire Tribe hollow and settled over at a branch just inches bellow a green-and-blue-eyed tomcat.

"Anything to report?" The shadowy cat asked, his eyes fixated on the young Fire Tribe warriors discussing with one another.

"Not even a feather, Master." The hawk bowed. "I-I'm sorry."

Eclipse flicked his tail slightly and gazed down at an unusual warrior who's hair was not a charcoal black like his mother's but a blonde color similar to his father's.

Eclipse's lip curled into a small snarl. That kid may have the facial features of his mother, but his looks were identical of the leader who had been the main cause of his exile to the moon.

Ever since the day he had been exiled, he had made the promise of making everyone of Hwajae's offsprings suffer along with their father. He knew where their weak spots lay, and similar to their father, Taehyung and Beomgyu's weaknesses were their mates.

He had already gotten rid of two bonds, so why not go for the third one? Maybe he could strike two kills and only leave three elementals to wander alone while he still lurked along the shadows of the moon.

Eclipse sat up and unsheathed his claws, making the hawk flinch with nervousness. "Whatever, we don't need to look for that bird any longer. All that we need to know is that the sons of my dearest enemies have finally returned to my claws."

The cat groomed his paw delicately, his wide eyes then fixated on the hawk in front of him before flexing his muscles and leaping at the bird with long and cruel extended claws.

The hawk tried to get away, but Eclipse had been too quick for him to take action faster. The black cat held the hawk with his claws and harshly sank his fangs into his neck, making blood dew Eclipse's face and part of his paws.

After the killing, Eclipse swept the body off the branch with a paw and watched how a group of tiger cubs immediately launched themselves at the dead bird. His eyes glowed with twisted interest at how the tiger cubs tore the feathers away from the hawk's body and began to tear the flesh of the hawk.

A small purr resonated deep inside his throat as he lied back down on the branch. The elements were finally back. . . And so was he. And with his new return, and with the new plan he was already putting to march. . . No one in the island would be able to survive him. Not even the elementals' kids.

"I think you're crazy." Wooyoung shook himself. "Or maybe you went through my stack of red mushrooms."

"I'm serious! I know what I saw. . ." Beomgyu tied up the logs he had collected with Wooyoung and swung them over his shoulder. "It had to mean something. . . An omen or a prophecy maybe."
