Chapter 58

"Can you two. . . I don't know, not make me feel like a monocycle for once?"

"Taehyun, be quiet."

"Yeah, Taehyun. Quit ruining our lovely vibe."

Taehyun, Soobin, and Kai were hanging out a wooded area near the beach, where rocks and fallen branches got kissed by the glimmering waves of the ocean.

The three would've been waiting with their tribes, but Soobin and Kai had decided to hangout at the beach. Meanwhile Taehyun had been ordered out of his tribe by Yeonjun, making him come together with the two lovebirds. The three had been walking around while talking about basically nothing except how handsome each one of them looked for their friends' ceremony.

Taehyun for example, had his hair tangled up between pretty white flowers that complemented the fiery color his hair. His shoulders and his back were hidden by a nice silky cape with beautiful and neat, hand-made patterns of flowers as well as the print of a phoenix.

Kai's eyes had once again been decorated with a type of powder that sparkled like stars once light hit them, and instead of having the top half of his body bare, silky folds that were the color of the ocean's foam had been stitched together to form a type of sleeve for his arms.

Soobin, since he pretty much lived underwater, wore attire that could only be found in the ocean. A small crown made out of tangled golden seaweed and marine petals adorned his head, while thin golden bracelets were wrapped around at the upper sides of his arms. Another thing to mention was the shining necklace that was tied around Soobin's neck with one of Kai's feathers attached to it so everyone in his tribe could know that Soobin's heart had already been claimed.

The trio had been cracking jokes and laughing like total maniacs. But their joy would extinguish when the undergrowth rustled to reveal a tall blondie with a radiant red-orange hanbok, the silk at the bottom of the vestment being darkened by the dirt after he had left his tribe in a rush.

Upon seeing them, Beomgyu let out a huge sigh of relief and finally fell to his knees. His heart raced inside his chest as another wave of pain filled his chest, causing the 18-year old to pant.

"Beomgyu?" Taehyun immediately crouched down, his hand touched Beomgyu's shoulder. "What are you doing here? You're not supposed to leave without Fire Tribe's escort."

Beomgyu held onto the younger's arms, letting Taehyun help him while Kai and Soobin wrapped their arms around Beomgyu's sides to prevent their friend from stumbling.

"E-Earth Tribe! Yeonjun! I. . . I-" A sudden gust of wind whirled around them, the strong breeze whistling against the tree tops that surrounded the four friends. The sky roared with desperation as lighting passed through its gray gradients. And Storm clouds came together, hiding the light of the sun and abstracting its view as the whole sky darkened with sorrowful tears.

"Kai! Control your winds!" Taehyun's shout echoed against the breeze. He then had to cover his eyes when the winds around them lifted a cloud of dust into the air.

"I'-Im trying!" Kai shouted back, his voice coated with distress as he himself didn't know what was going on. The only thing the younger was able to do was lift his hands and whisper soothing words until the breeze finally began to calm down by his silky voice.

The sky let out one last rumble and quieted down, its distress still being acknowledged by Kai as the 17-year old examined the dark, puffy clouds clumping together. Kai's silver eyes narrowed, his raven locks brushed against his cheeks as he came to a darker conclusion. "Something's wrong. . . My winds. . . They're warning us."
