𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 - 𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐬 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐱 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫

(Y/N) started her second year at Hogwarts with her friends Sam and Louis. The girl had a brand-new personality, and it reflected in her physical appearance: instead of letting it down, it was now in a tight bun with two small strands of her framing her face.

During the train ride, James and Sirius got separated from Remus and Peter due to no more compartments available, and met Severus Snape and Lily Evans. The two Gryffindors overheard the red head and the raven's conversation, and a conflict sparked between them, due to the nickname for Severus, Snivellus.
When they arrived to Hogwarts, (Y/N) met Regulus Black, Sirius' younger brother that got sorted into Slytherin who she wanted to befriend: unfortunately, they didn't talk again until after the Slytherin quidditch team try-outs.

(Y/N) and Louis tried out together, for keeper and for chaser respectively. The tryouts were crashed by Gryffindor due to a misunderstanding in schedule, this was the first time (Y/N) had seen any of the marauders again since the prank they pulled on her last year. When they came back from the Slytherin try-outs, they found Sam talking to Regulus, and included him in their little friend group.

After the try out incident and seeing (Y/N) again, James and Sirius told Remus and Peter about how different the girl looked, and understood that they should apologize to her. But their school work made it difficult to do it themselves, and Peter offered, so the boy looked for (Y/N) around the Slytherin common room, where he found her.

He was greatly intimidated by the girl's new look, and when he approached to try and apologize, he got too scared and decided to run away. Not wanting his friends to be disappointed at him, he lied to them and told them that (Y/N) not only didn't accept their apology, but was also rude about it. Peter included that she had insulted his appearance, something that made Remus, James and Sirius hate the girl.

One day during breakfast in the Great hall, (Y/N) saw a red head ignore and turn her back on the marauders. She found this whole interaction funny, and chuckled. Something Sirius didn't like and shot her a glare, which she returned; this looks slowly became a regular thing between the two-second years.

James and Sirius tried out for quidditch days after, due to the Gryffindor team postponing it. The two boys tried out as a chaser and as a beater, but only one of them got in: James. Sirius didn't really mind as he still liked to cheer for his friend with Peter and Remus in the stands.

Meanwhile, Regulus had gotten really close with everyone in (Y/N)'s friend group, now becoming one of them. One day during Charms, Sirius and James started to throw little paper balls to the back of (Y/N)'s head, and even if the girl tried to ignore them they were too annoying for her liking.

She thought of how to get her revenge, and when James got called to the front to demonstrate a spell, (Y/N) put her foot in front of him, making him trip in front of everyone. This was the day the marauders, especially Sirius, proclaimed war with the Slytherin girl. Days later, after some quidditch matches against Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, Louis had joined (Y/N) against the marauders, throwing glares during lunch.

Charms was the class where the two dark haired boys annoyed (Y/N) the most, throwing little paper balls, kicking her chair, pulling her hair, casting inoffensive spells to her back... She hated that class, until one day Professor Flitwick announced that a dueling club would be hosted in the Great hall, and all 4 houses would be participating.

During the dueling club, (Y/N) and Sirius got partnered, and even though they weren't allowed to use any other spell than Expelliarmus, after (Y/N) beat Sirius 2 times, the boy used Flipendo against her, knocking her back and making her hit her head against the table that was in middle of the hall. Louis accompanied the girl to the nurse wing, where Sirius later came to apologize to her and the two first years skipped the rest of the classes just talking.

Later that day, Regulus apologized for his brother's actions, and (Y/N) told him to not worry. After doing some school work, Louis proposed to do smores, a dessert muggles did and that Sam had taught him. The 4 friends ate until the sky darkened, then went to bed.

Months passed, and a Gryffindor VS Slytherin quidditch game was near, and (Y/N) was a ball of nerves. After the smores activity, Sam had told (Y/N) how to get to the kitchens, and how she should be respectful with house elves so they'd offer food. To calm her nerves, the girl decided to follow her friend's advice and headed to the kitchens.

Unfortunately, 4 Gryffindor boys arrived to the kitchen just as she was about to tickle the pear. When she saw who they were, she hided behind a barrel, and heard James talk about a "Lily Flower" his crush, (Y/N) assumed. As they entered the kitchens, the Slytherin decided to play a prank on them.

She looked ridiculous while doing so, imitating a cat, Filch and McGonagall's voices to try and scare them, which worked. After they ran away, the girl ate as much as she could. The quidditch match next day was an eventful one, being 50 for Slytherin, and 70 for Gryffindor, until the captain and seeker of Slytherin Cassia caught the Golden snitch.

On their ride back to Kings Cross station, (Y/N), Regulus, Louis and Sam sat together in a compartment, talking about whose owl they were going to use to communicate during the summer. When they arrived to station 9 and 3/4, nobody came to pick up (Y/N), so instead the girl decided to watch as her friends left with their respective families.

She saw how Regulus came back with his parents, they both looked like him (really pale and with big eye bags under their eyes); she also saw how their proud smiles turned into angry scowls when they saw Sirius approach them. She also saw how Sam ran off as soon as she got off the train, like she was embarrassed about her family.

Finally, she saw Louis reunite with his parents, who hugged him happily and looked joyful to be back with their son. As his mother hugged him, she stroked her hair and (Y/N) wondered how it would be like to have someone hug you like that. The girl sat on top of her trunk, waiting for someone to come pick her up.

Finally, a house elf picked her up and Apparated to her mansion, where her grandma was inspecting some weird papers and not paying attention to her granddaughter at all.
