Second Person P.O.V.

It was late at night, and you decided to come to the library because you just couldn't sleep. You knew the halls of Hogwarts like the back of your hand, which proved to be very useful throughout the years.

You had been wandering by the bookshelves, looking for any book that looked interesting. The room was pretty empty, and there just were opportunities to feed your curiosity everywhere and the forbidden section proved to be the perfect occasion to do so. However, you stopped yourself.

If someone caught you there, stealing a book, your reputation would be ruined. Maybe you could get Slughorn to sign a permission slip, that way you wouldn't get in trouble.

Giving the forbidden section a last lingering look, you turned and grabbed the first book on sight. It was a history book, about the four founders, or something like that. You didn't really read the title.

You had sat down and got your hair out of your face. The faint moonlight creeping through the window was a comforting one, and it made you calm.

You were just opening your book when you saw a familiar, crouched figure sitting on one of the chairs, on one of the most isolated tables. At first, you had thought it was Regulus. That table was his favorite place in the library.

But upon further inspection, you realized it was Sirius.

Curiosity won you over. You mean, what was Sirius doing in the library? And by himself? Something wasn't right.

Disheveled black hair, unfocused eyes, head supported on the palm of his hand, a familiar blanket on his lap, and an open book in front of him. He looked really different from his every day 'bad boy who doesn't care about anything' style.

You walked over to where he was, holding the book close to your chest. "Never thought I'd find you here. What are you doing?"

"Not much, just decided to study," Sirius answered.

You raised your eyebrows suspiciously, "Really? In your free time?"

He shrugged, "What can I say? Surprise is my middle name."

You hummed, pulling out the chair in front of him. "Mind if I join you?"

"Please do."

You sat down, placing your book on the table. "So, what are you doing here?"

"You mean in the library?"

"Yeah. I thought you would prefer to spend your free time doing..." You hesitated, "other stuff."

"Why does everyone think I'm stupid?" He snickered, a faint smile on his face.

He was obviously kidding, otherwise, you wouldn't have reacted the way you did. "I didn't mean it like that!" You assured, laughing.

"Yeah, right." He continued, "And what other stuff do you think I do at night?"

"I don't know. Hang with your friends, maybe. You're all roommates, aren't you?"

Sirius nodded, "Normally we do that. Today I wanted some time alone, that's all." There were some moments of silence before he added, "And what are you doing here?"

"Reading." You pointed to your book, almost mockingly.

He rolled his eyes, "I know that. I meant, why didn't you just go to sleep?"

"I wasn't sleepy, so I figured, why not?" The person in front of you nodded, but after he said nothing, you opened your book and started to read the first sentence.
