Rachel's Thoughts

Boy's thoughts and telepathic dialogue

"Dialogue between characters"

Dean POV

"Majesties, I don't see anything wrong with her. She has no outward wounds and I cannot sense any internal damages." Dr. O'Connell says and I glare up at him from the chair next to her bed.

He shrinks back under my stare. I swallow the rest of my whiskey, letting it burn my throat, before I ask, "So why, has my mate not woken up?" It had been two days since she passed out and I can't take it anymore.

I look over at her. Her beautiful face looked so relaxed as her lashes brushed her cheeks. Her pink lips were slightly parted. Her cheeks were rosy like they always were and her hair framed her face as she laid there.

I keep replaying that day over and over. God, if my mother hadn't of been so stubborn, then Rachel never would have shifted. We still had no idea why

shifted but I know she shifted because my Mom was challenging her.

I'd give anything to have her awake. Originally both Dr. O'Connell and Maximus said to wait and let her body get used to the shock of shifting but as a day went by the four of us were beyond restless.

Cas growls from his spot next to her on the bed. He had to be touching her. He fidgeted with everything. He would adjust her covers and pillows. Make sure her hair was out of her face. Constantly, kissing her face or holding her hand.

"I don't know Majesties." He says as he lowers his head.

"What can we do?" I ask him as I rub my hands over my face. The stubble growing there doesn't shock me. None of us have left her since she passed out. Hell, we didn't even bathe or change clothes.

"Just wait." He says grimmly.

"You can leave." Theo barks at him. He was on edge like the rest of us but he had mainly been silent the last two days.

I look over and watch Dr. O'Connell leave. Jason closes the door. He walks over to the bed and kneels next to it. He takes her hand and holds it to his lips as he closes his eyes.

Does he really think that will help? Theo grumbles in the link. I shrug. We were all getting through this in our own ways. I was drinking, Theo mopped around and looked out the window and could barely look at her, while Cas couldn't take his eyes off of her.

After a few minutes a bright light shines in the middle of the room. I cover my eyes that slightly burn and when the light stops I look to see the Moon Goddess standing at the foot of our bed.

"You came." Jason says in relief. She smiles at him in a motherly way and walks over to put a hand on his shoulder.

"Of course, I came. I will always come when you call." She tells us. "Boys she is ok." She says and you could hear the collective breath of relief we all gave. I look back at Rachel as she continues to lay there. Relief and hope bubble up in my chest as I look at her. I just wanted her back.

Cas kisses her face again as he shakes with relief. Jason stares at the Moon Goddess and Theo sits with his head in his hands. "Boys we need to talk." She says as she gets our attention.

She sits beside Rachel in the bed and puts her hand on her leg. "I gifted your mate a special gift when the ceremony happened. She didn't know about it until two days ago. I should've warned her." She says sadly as she looks at Rachel with regret.

"What power did you give her?" Theo asks gruffly.

She gives him a patient look before explaining, "I gave her the gift to transform into a wolf. She doesn't have a wolf side like you do, but she is able to shift if she feels threatened or if she just wants too. Strong emotions will trigger the change until she masters it."
