Dean POV

I lead my mate into my old bedroom, and I see our luggage has already been unpacked for us. I watch her walk around the room in wonder. It had high ceilings with cream walls, gold accents, and royal blue linens.

"This was my old room before I met you little one." I tell her as she runs a hand over the comforter. She sits down on the bed and looks around the room. I had to admit I loved seeing her on my bed. Originally, I had planned on bringing her back here to live here but after seeing how much she loved her hometown I couldn't ask her to move.

I walk over and sit down next to her. "This is amazing." She says as she continues to look at everything. I feel her suddenly get sad in the link. Confusion washes over me. I watch her turn away from me.

"Why are you sad?" I ask her. She turns back to me and I see her sad face looking up at me.

"How can you be okay with our house? With our life? Everything here is fit for a king and everything at home is not." She says as tears threaten to leave her hazel eyes. I cup her face in my hands and kiss her lips softly.

Once I pull back, I say, "Whatever you are thinking, don't. Don't compare what you think my life here is against the life I have with you. I will pick you every day. The love you have in our home is worth more than any of the stuff you see in this place. I love our home because every little detail reminds me of you. I love our home because I get to be with you every day there. I would live in a tent if it meant I got to hold you every night. Don't belittle the life and love we have because you think that since I am royalty, I want more than what I have with you. You are more than I ever imagined, and I am so grateful to have the life I have with you."

She looks up at me and smiles. "I love you. I love our life. I am just scared that what we have is so simple and not extravagant enough for your family. I'm scared that this week I will mess up or not be enough for your family." She confesses to me as she looks down at her hands in her lap.

I put my finger under her chin and made her look at me. "That will not happen little one. My family will love you, just like I love you. Everyone else will love you just like they fell in love with you after your welcoming party."

The door of the room opens, and Theo and Cas walk in. "What's going on love?" Theo asks as he walks toward us. Cas closes the door and then walks over.

"I was just self-conscious of our house and the life we have in St. Louis and wondered if it was enough for you guys." She tells him as he sits next to us. He shakes his head no and leans over to kiss her cheek. "I know it's stupid but after seeing everything I just felt like I can't give you guys things like this."

"We don't need you too. We don't want you too. We want you, just the way you are." Theo tells her wrapping an arm around her shoulders and pressing his lips to her temple. She closes her eyes and savors his touch, just like she always does whenever we touched her. We loved that she unconsciously did it.

"Baby, we are so happy with our lives with you. Everything here is not as important as your happiness and comfort." Cas says to her. She nods at him and gives us all a weak smile.

"Come on, we have to go have dinner with the Council." She says with annoyance in her voice. She was so stressed about seeing Marcus and them again. She stands and we move to lead her to the formal dining room.

As we enter everyone stands from their seats and takes us in. Our parents staring proudly as we lead our mate to her seat. Our teams smiling at us and giving encouraging looks to Rachel. While the Council was mixed. Most were happy and intrigued to see Rachel again, while others, like Marcus were openly glaring.
