(Chloe's POV)

For the four days that I spent in D.C., I, for the most part, wandered around the city. I went back to see Peggy the day before we left, but other than that, I had a relatively normal trip.

I didn't get into any fights, didn't end up in any explosions or plane crashes. It was like an actual vacation!

We flew back to New York, with no problems or accidents. Nothing bad happened. Nothing at all.

Which means I'm due for something bad to happen. I really can't get a break, can I?

By the time we got back to the compound, mom was waiting for us on the ground. "Nope." She said.

"Nope? No what? What do you mean 'nope'?" I asked confused.

"Nope. Get back on. We're leaving." She stated.

"Excuse me? I just got back. Where could you be taking me? Where are we going?" I looked to Sam but he seemed as clueless as I was.

"Clint's. We are going to go to help." I groaned loudly.

It wasn't that I didn't want to go, it's just that I really needed to do laundry and I just got back.

"Mooommmm." I moaned. "I just came baaaaccckkkk!"

"Nope. You can complain to Clint when we get there. Back up missy. Let's go." She shooed me back up the ramp. I looked at Sam, silently begging him to help me but he just stood there trying to hold in his laughter.

A few hours later we were in Missouri and greeted by the Barton's. "Hey, kid!" Clint called as he walked up.

"Old man. You're looking a little grayer than the last time I saw you." I joked and he feigned hurt.

"Thanks for coming." He said hugging me.

"Blame her." I pointed at mom behind me. "I wanted to go do laundry and sleep in my bed after being in D.C., but she decided to drag me out here just to help you pack." I complained.

"Wow. That sounds terrible." Cooper commented. "Hi."

"Hey." I felt a little giddy seeing him. "How are you?"

"Good. I hurt my wrist though." He told me as we hugged.

"That's too bad. Let me guess, that means you're gonna make me do all your work for you?"

"Whhhhaaatt? Noooooo." He drawled and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Yeah right."

"Chloe!!" Lila yelled happily as she ran towards me with Nate in tow.

"Lila!! Come here!" I cried as she ran into me. "Oh my gosh! Look at this! You are almost as tall as me!! How is this even possible?!"

"Dad says if I grow a little bit more, I can start archery!" She exclaimed.

"Well let's see then. Chloe stand with your back to Lila." Cooper instructed. Doing what he said I felt him measure Lila by putting the side of his in between my shoulder blades.

I turned around to see if his hand was really at Lila's actual hight. "You keep growing at this rate and you're going to be taller than me!" I told her making her laugh.

"Chloe!" Nate laughed hugging my leg.

"Hey, buddy. How are you?" I greeted him and picking him up.

"I got a new truck!" He exclaimed waving a red and green truck in my face.

"Awesome!" I smiled moving him to my hip.
