Goku Black's POV

" Hahaha. Oh look at how all the puny mortals run counterpart." I said to Zamasu. " Yes. Too bad their running is futile." Zamasu said. He teleported near one of the mortals and sliced them in half with a ki blade. It's been over a year since I started my massacre of mortals on this planet. It's been easy so far but recently a resistance has been created.

Their leader, Trunks, has been trying to stop me for the last year. But of course, he's been failing. He tried going back in time and getting the help of his father and the other mortal Goku. But I managed to find his time machine and destroy it before he got the chance to use it. Now he's stranded here with the rest of the pathetic mortals. All that's left is to destroy them all.

" I'll kill you!" We heard someone say. We both turned to see Trunks. He was coming at us in his Super Saiyan form. " I've got this counterpart. You go and kill the rest of the mortals." Zamasu said. He flew off to face Trunks. " He may be weak but it helps that he's immortal." I said. I continued walking through the ruins of the base.

I could hear the mortals screaming in terror. Most of them were hiding. Hehe, they have no idea that I could sense them. Some of the military tried stopping me, but I cut them down to pieces.
" So much bloodshed. But this purge is necessary for this world to become beautiful again." I said.

But I was interrupted by the sound of someone crying. I turned my head to see a little girl. She was trying to awaken her mother's arms. It was clear that her mother was killed by one of us.
" Tch. Such a pity for a child to be killed this young." I said. She turned towards me. " Someone please! Help me!" She said. I raised my hand and prepared to blast the child with a ki blast.
" Sorry mortal child but your time is up." I said. I released the ki blast and it exploded. But when the explosion cleared, the child was gone.

" What?!" I said. I began looking around. " How could I have missed? And where did the child go?" I thought. " I can't believe you. How could you throw a ki blast at a child?!" I heard someone say. I turned to see a woman. She had H/C hair and E/C eyes. She was wearing a white t-shirt with black leggings. She also had cat ears but no tail. " Maybe she's only half neko?" I thought.

When I took a closer look at her, I saw her holding the child. " You saved it?" I asked. " Yes. I did save her. And I'm going to do everything I can to protect her from you." The woman said. She ran off into the base with the child. For some reason, I didn't feel like chasing after her. " Quite intriguing." I said. " What was that?!" I heard someone say.

I turned to see my counterpart. " I see that you took care of Trunks. Good." I said. " Yes. He ran off after his Super Saiyan form failed. But never mind him. What the hell was that?! Why did you let those mortals go?!" He said. " Because that woman put her life on the line for a child she didn't know. She and that child could be of some use." I said.

" And how, pray tell, could those two mortals be of some use?" Zamasu asked. " We could help them to realize the true meaning of what we are doing. A child's mind is easy to mold and manipulate when they're that young. And the woman, well, there are many ways we can convince her." I said with a smirk.

My counterpart sighed. " Fine. But I hope this doesn't backfire. After all, that woman was intriguing." He said. " Don't worry. It won't. Now let's go back to the cabin. We're due for some tea and cakes." I said.

Y/N's POV

I didn't hear any footsteps behind me. I stopped, put the child down, and leaned up against the wall. " I think we lost them." I told the child. " Thank you for saving me miss." She said. " No problem. I would put my life on the line for anyone." I said. We both smiled. She then looked down. " My mommy is dead isn't she?" The child asked.
