Fu x Scientist!Reader Pt.2

Y/N's POV

" Only a little bit more and the dark dragon ball radar should be done." I said. It's been two years since I cut ties with the Time Patrol and started working for Fu. Its actually been really fun and I've felt welcomed here. Recently Fu has been talking about expanding and trying to create a new universe.

While I support his ideas, I also find my self worrying about him more. He's changed since I've met him. He's been more serious than laid back. He used to be so over the moon about his experiments and would always goof off during them. But now he's so serious that you can't even talk to him. He's also been a bit more protective and possessive of me. Whenever I'm talking to someone else he ends up coming in and putting his arms around me. 

Sure it doesn't bother me too much but sometimes its annoying. Especially since I've started to worry about him. But I choose to let it slide and continue my research. Fu informed me that he wanted to search for the dark dragon balls and their host to try and convince them to join our side. So he asked me to build a dark dragon ball radar to try and find them.

I of course agreed because I didn't want to disappoint Fu. Also this would be a test to see how far I could go. " Done! I call this a job well done." I said while examining the finished product. I then felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. " Well done. I'd expect nothing less from the best scientist I've ever met."  I heard the person say.

I knew who it was immediately. " Hi Fu. What brings you here?" I asked. " Just checking up on my favorite scientist. And it seems you've finished the dark dragon ball radar. It looks perfect." He said. " Thanks. We just need to test it. But first I have to run diagnostics." I said. " That's fair. We can't have this go wrong. I can't afford anymore mistakes." He said. Something happened recently with Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, and their counterpart from an alternate reality that left Fu fuming.

" How long will the diagnostics take?" He asked. " About three days. There's a lot of software to inspect." I said. Fu let out a growl. " Fine." He said. He walked out. I huffed. " Why does he has to be so stubborn?" I asked myself. I took out my computer and started on the diagnostics. I decided to go for a walk and leave the computer to do the diagnostics. 

Fu set his base up near something known as the universal tree or something like that. He didn't want to tell me the name in case I got captured. It looks beautiful so I take walks by it most of the time. I also like to study its behavior just in case there is some huge change to it. " Looking at the tree again. Don't you get tired of observing it everyday?" I heard someone ask me.

I turned to see Turles. He's recently joined Fu's team and fought against Goku. Turles and I have become really good friends ever since he's come here. I've been helping him amplify the Fruit from the Tree of Might he brought with him. " It would seem that way but I enjoy it." I said. I smiled. Turles gave a smirk. He sat beside me. " I heard about your battle with Goku and the others. Sorry you lost." I said.

" It's okay. It just shows me that I have to train a lot harder." He said. I put my hand on his shoulder. " Don't worry. I know you'll get stronger." I said with a smile. He smiled. " Thanks Y/N." He said. " No problem." I said. As I turned back towards the tree, I had a strange feeling that someone was watching me.

Fu's POV

I hit a wall with my fist causing it to crack a bit. How dare Turles gets to sit next to Y/N like that?! I should be the one next to his/her side. Not him. I could feel the anger boiling up inside me. Whenever Y/N is with another man, I feel like going up to him and killing him. Y/N is mine. I want them all to myself. But the others keep getting in the way. I wish I could kill all of them but I need them to achieve my plan. I then saw Turles fly away and I decided to approach Y/N.

Y/N's POV

As Turles left, I heard someone else approach. I turned to see Fu. He seemed to be angry about something. " Hi Fu. Can I help you?" I asked. " Why do you constantly hang around him?" He asked, referring to Turles. " He's my friend. Why wouldn't I hang out with him?" I asked, confused at his question. Fu just seemed to get angrier.

" And why should you care whom I hang out with?" I asked. " I care because I just want to keep you safe! Don't you understand?! The people that i am working with are dangerous and I don't want you to get hurt!" He said. " I can take care of myself." I said. I began to walk away when Fu grabbed my hand. he had a tight grip on it. I couldn't get out.

" Let go of me." I said sternly. He then pulled me in and embraced me. By the way he was holding me, it seemed like he didn't want to let me go. " After two years, you haven't figured it out yet. The reason I brought you here, the reason I favored you above the rest, the reason I've been so protective of you and the reason I'm so possessive. I like you Y/N. I like you a lot. And I don't want anyone else taking you away from me." He said.

It  hit me. The reason why I've been so worried about him. I liked him too. " Fu. I don't know what to say. But if I have to say anything, I guess it would be I-" I was cut off by Fu pushing me behind him. " What is it?" I asked. " Get inside. We've got company." He said. " What do you mean?" I asked. " Goku and Vegeta. They've found me. I can't let them find you. I need to go and face them." He said. 

" But what if you get hurt? I wouldn't be able to bear it." I said. I tear slid down my cheek. Fu wiped it away. " Don't worry. I'll be fine. Just stay safe. And if anything happens, find me." He said He gave me a quick kiss and then flew off. I had a sick feeling in my stomach. " Please be safe Fu. Please." I said as I watched him fly off. I didn't know what was going to happen. Bu I knew it was going to be bad.
