Elena POV

Evie's measuring tape wrapped around my waist seamlessly and got a little tight for a moment, Evie muttered a number and the pressure around my waist disappeared as the measuring tape slipped right off. She then moved on and measured my bust size, all while Mal was frantically running around the room doing things. She suddenly seemed to remember something and ran over to her nightstand and threw the drawer open and brought an old book out, I narrowed my eyes at it to see that it had a dragon on the outside of it.

Meanwhile, Bruni was on the outside of the lizard Maleficent's glass cage playing around, Maleficent wasn't exactly thrilled it seemed, but Bruni was simply being his happy little self. Mal looked over at Bruni and gave him a puzzling look,

"Elena? Is your salamander always allowed to stay outside of a cage?"

She asked with a questionable tone. I chuckled as Bruni gave her a sharp glare, he got offended that she even mentioned putting him in a cage. He suddenly lit his back on fire and his pupils narrowed to make snake eyes before snarling at Mal. Both Evie and Mal looked over in shock as I haven't told them Bruni is a fire lizard, Mal jumped back with a loud gasp,

"Well he's never seen a cage, he's smart enough to know how to not get in trouble. Besides, he's not a pet"

I calmly mentioned as I pulled one glove off and swirled it about, a swirling wind of snow was sent his way and gently landed on him. His fire was put out and he calmed significantly, he even snuggled into the pile of snow I had basically dropped on top of him, rolling about and happily purring. I giggled and put my glove back on,

"You didn't tell us he could catch on fire!"

Mal said in shock. Evie simply laughed a little in shock too. Bruni happily began eating the snow I had put down for him, cute little sounds of delight were the only things heard from him now. Mal dropped her book and walked over to Bruni to simply stare at him in shock,

"Well I didn't want you guys to be scared of him, I mean look at him! He's harmless really, and he doesn't need a cage because he's not my pet. He's my friend, I have plenty of friends that I consider equals that you normal humans could consider pets. Like my friend Nokk, I would never call him a pet"

I spoke as Evie wrapped up my measurements. Mal looked over at me with a furrowed brow,

"Nokk? Interesting name for a..."

I giggled,

"A water spirit that takes the form of a stallion"

I nonchalantly spoke. Evie paused and Mal simply looked more confused. Evie slowly looked over to me and the two girls simply stared at me for a moment, Bruni happily squeaked at the mention of his water spirit friend,

"A... water spirit... I should stop being surprised when it comes to things you mention"

Evie said with a light giggle. I giggled a little with her and looked out the window where the Isle looked back at me it seemed, the feeling of being drawn in by it still hasn't ceased. I glanced over to Mal to see her looking at it too,

"What's it like? Over there?"

I asked no one it seemed. There was a good bit of silence, Bruni's happy little squeaks were the only sound in the room. Mal longingly sighed with a frown and tried to muster up a smile,

"It's rough, but a little fun when it comes to what you're allowed to do"

Mal muttered. Evie looked over to her with a raised brow and crossed her arms,
