Elena POV

After days and days of preparation, dance lessons, fittings, and test runs, tonight is the Winter Ball that we've all been preparing for! We've taken the first half of the day to get the ballroom ready and get the catering set up and all that fun stuff, now it's time to get ready which is always a team effort. Normally my mom gets me ready for these things and I help her out in return with my aunt and uncle helping each other out, but this year I'll be helping Harry out since well... I'm the only person he's comfortable with so in return he'll be helping me out! My mom will be with my aunt and then my aunt will help my uncle, so it's all set!

Right now I'm simply getting everything laid out and in between have been beginning the process of pinning my hair up as needed. I even lightly curled the loose parts, I'm trying really hard to look extra fancy to meet up with how my dress looks! I was walking around in the first layer of my gown, the basic white petticoat specially designed for the sleeveless dress I fell in love with. Now for the first challenge, I have no clue how I'm supposed to do up my corset by myself, but that convenient knock on the door says I might've just gotten a helping hand!

I trotted over to the door and opened it to see Harry with a pile of clothes in his arms and looking rather confused, I opened the door to him as he spoke,

"So... I have no clue how all these parts work"

Harry said with a casual laugh as he walked in. I closed the door behind him and giggled,

"Oh that's alright, these really intricate suits have a lot of parts so I don't blame ya. Real quick, could you help me out with my corset?"

I said as I went back over to my bed and picked up the relatively basic white corset. He laid his clothes out on an empty part of my bed and watched as I positioned the corset on my chest correctly,

"Sure, but how?"

I sorted everything out for him as much as I could before holding the two main ribbons behind my back with one hand and held up the rest of the corset with the other,

"Just take these two ribbons and pull, then once it's tight enough you'll just tie it up with a bow and that's it!"

He hummed and took the ribbons from me before tugging a little bit, but nowhere near as much as I needed,

"You can really pull it I'll be fine"

I said with a light laugh, he tugged it a little harder but still nowhere near where I needed it. I giggled and turned my head to him,

"I don't wanna pull too hard and accidentally hurt ya that's all"

Harry said as I had turned to him, I giggled and playfully rolled my eyes,

"You won't hurt me, Evie throws herself back to tighten my corsets so I doubt you could hurt me. Besides, the worse that happens is the breath gets knocked out of me and I tell you to loosen it a little bit. Go on, show me what ya got"

I said with a little laugh, Harry raised a brow at me and smirked a little bit which worried me a tiny bit, he had a very mischievous look about him after all. I looked down at his hands and watched as he slowly wrapped the ribbon around four of his fingers once, his smirk got a little bigger before he said,

"Alright, but don't say I didn't warn ya"

Oh great, I immediately sucked in a lot of air because I suddenly felt like I had awakened a beast of sorts. Suddenly I heard the ribbons running through the corset tighten, then I felt it. All the air was forced out of my lungs which made me gasp probably the loudest gasp possible as I was literally pulled back by the force as well right into Harry who caught me with a chuckle,
