Harry POV

Finally, for the love of the gods, we totally could've been so much more efficient with our time, but no one fucking hurried their sorry arses as much as I did! It's not my fault I'm stuck in a gaggle of slow people with no sense of urgency ta them! So we're finally approaching the barrier, thank the gods... I need ta see Elena right now, hear her voice, anything... I miss her so greatly it's insane.

The thing is, now that I think about it, we've never gone more than three hours or so away from each other since I moved ta Auradon, and with this as the scenario at hand... I feel... I kinda feel like I'm slowly being suffocated. I don't just miss her greatly, I'm... I'm really really worried, I tried ta worry about myself like she told me but I couldn't help it... I'm coming off of the Isle unscathed, but from the sound of the news alone... I'm not so sure about her. I don't want ta underestimate her again, but she's been here alone and it's been a while now, and something in the depths of my soul is telling me that she may not be so unscathed..... and... and I'm honestly terrified over that.

We slowed our motorbikes as we approached the barrier just ta give Jay a moment ta click the button and open the barrier, then once it was just open enough we went on through to the bridge that was slowly appearing. I drove right behind Mal and Celia, still very eager ta get back as soon as I can even if that means leaving the other VKs behind as stupid as the logistics of that sound. The bridge wasn't completely formed yet, so we slowly came to a pause as we waited, I drifted around a bit on my bike before stopping just so I could watch the barrier ta make sure no more Hades shenanigans could happen. Jay was the last one through the barrier and he pressed the button to shut it as soon as he drove through it. We all turned around to watch it close, and I think we could all take a breather as this time, that went off without a hitch thank the gods.

But my attention was taken as I heard a loud splashing sound right next ta the bridge. It was so much splashing that it didn't sound terribly natural, but what made me bolt off my bike after throwing my helmet off was the sound of a roar like neigh, one that I could recognize in my sleep. I furrowed my brow with great concern as I threw my helmet off and jogged to the edge of the bridge where I dropped ta my knees... and sure enough, Nokk was down there stomping around and calling, but stopped when he seemed to spot me,

"Nokk? What are ya doin' 'ere bud?"

I called down ta him as a Mal and Celia joined me in looking over the bridge, Celia gasped and looked at Nokk very wide-eyed of course, who doesn't? I remember being boggled by Nokk's existence alone, now I just kinda feel like he's a friend of mine which feels a little odd ta say of course, but who cares?

"What... What is that?!"

Celia suddenly squealed out as Nokk began stomping about again, looking very anxious by Elena's explanation of horse behavior and such. I love hearing her rant about things she's passionate about, horses, in general, are a big one for her, so I've heard the rants about behavior and body language in horses and of course I listen, I listen ta every word my lady speaks! And right about now that's paying off, because Nokk's really pacing back and forth, calling out constantly, and is showing a lot of signs of stress like chomping his teeth for instance,

"That's Nokk, one of Elena's spirit friends who... normally doesn't show up unless she calls him, Nokk... ya look worried..."

He paused as I spoke, I know he can understand me but unfortunately I can't understand him, but Elena likes ta play charades Saturday nights so hopefully I can use my charade skills ta figure out why Nokk's shown up like this. He nodded ta me, making Celia gasp,

"Did... Did he just nod?"

Oh my gods, I get the enthusiasm but we don't have the time for questions like that! We're in a rush 'ere, so I looked over ta Celia and quickly and firmly spoke,
