Overly Defensive

Gayoung's face burned with embarrassment as she thought about the day before. How could she have pointed her pepper spray at Hoseok? That must have been so alarming to him and he probably hated her more. She screamed internally as she messed up her hair in annoyance. Then, a shout echoed throughout the house.

"Gayoung! Take out the trash!"

Her mother exclaimed. Gayoung groaned as she left the room and did the normal procedure. She was huffing and puffing as she lifted up the two garbage bags. She walked towards the garbage bin, struggling a lot when she heard a voice whisper in her ear,

"Do you need help?"

She let out an ear-piercing scream as she dropped both of her garbage bags on the floor. She turned around with her arms in karate position(?????) With her head slightly tilted to the side, she refused to look at the guy.

"If you're going to murder me, I assure you, I haven't seen your face and although I don't have my pepper spray with me, I learnt self-defence!"

Gayoung yelled, still not looking at the guy before her as she displayed her punches. She clenched her fist as she had sudden flashbacks. However, she dismissed them when she heard the guy laugh. She saw her garbage bags being picked up by the guy in her peripheral vision effortlessly and was taken aback

"W-What are you doing with those?!"

She asked, stammering as she continued to look away. The guy just laughed and shook his head before throwing them into the bin. Slightly, taken aback, Gayoung wondered if she should have been so defensive. Hesitantly, she turned her head back and the person she saw made her grow red and hot.
It was Hoseok again! He wore a black bucket hat with a stylish grey hoodie and grey oversized pants. Her eyes lowered down to his shoes. They were the same canary shoes. She saw him suppress his laugh as she grew even redder. She swore under her breath and forced a nonchalant expression.

"W-We might be acquainted b-but it still doesn't mean you're a good person! Just because you're a volunteer staff at a pop-up store that donates all their earned money to dog shelters doesn't mean anything! A-Also, why are you at my house?!"

She asked defensively, trying not to sound flustered but failing miserably. Hoseok just let out a laugh and patted her on the head. Gayoung grew red as her eyes diverted from him. With his infamous heart-shaped smile spread across his face, he said in his honey-dripping deep voice,

"Cute. I'm here to see Mrs Cho?"

Gayoung narrowed her eyes in suspicion. Her mother? Why was he here to see her mother?
