Avoidance
Gayoung stood with her head down as she restocked the shelves, all alone. Every time she walked past Yeona, she tried to talk to her but all Yeona did was ignore her and avoid her even more. At this point, they were acting like complete strangers.
Not only did Gayoung now have to avoid Yeona but she also had to avoid Hoseok. She now knew she liked him and was afraid of what boundaries she would allow him to cross just because she liked him. The old her that once feared interactions with stranger was slowly peeling away from her as she allowed Hoseok to do many things she typically would not allow.
If she hadn't liked him, she would have never let herself go into that alleyway. Hoseok was dangerous to her. Loving someone was dangerous. Who knew what they could do to her once they knew they had leverage? That was why she was keeping a distance. Gayoung let out a sigh and continued putting the animal keychains on the shelf."Hey, are you okay?"
She heard a familiar voice from behind and flinched, dropping the keychain she held onto. She bent down to pick it up and so did the person who spoke. Their hands touched as she flinched violently and stood up, panting heavily. She looked down to see Hoseok picking up the keychains.
She realised he was the one who asked the question and immediately snatched the keychain from his hand and ignored him, placing all the other keychains on the shelf. Hoseok, slightly confused, asked,"Hey, are you okay? Why are you ignoring me? Did I do something wrong?"
He waited for a reply but all he got back was silence. Biting his lips, his eyes were set on Gayoung as he noticed her shaking hands.
"I'm sorry. I don't know what happened that day but I want to apologise,"
He muttered, clasping his hands together and stared at Gayoung. No response. He let out a sigh.
"I'll get going, sorry,"
Gayoung felt her heart break as tears sprang in her eyes. Her hands shook violent while she took out the last of the keychains and placed them on the shelf. Then, she heard a yell.
