Chapter 13

Look Good Together

Completely humiliated, Yoongi turned red and looked at the ground before muttering,

"Did you really have to start an argument about stupid ice cream flavours?"

"Excuse me? It wasn't an argument, it was a debate! And why are you pinning everything on me? Aren't we on the same side?"

Yeona yelled, her face growing red from rage as she glared at Yoongi. Yoongi took in a deep breath before exhaling and walking away.

"Hey! I'm not done with you!"

Yeona yelled running after him as she continued bickering with him. Gayoung let out a small cheeky smirk as she stared at the couple bicker playfully with each other.

"They look cute together, huh?"

Hoseok asked suddenly, smiling as he stared at Gayoung. Gayoung, a little caught off guard, turned her head to face Hoseok as she nodded. Her eyes were wide open as her face was tinted red. Hoseok chuckled as he adjusted his bucket hat.

"What do you think about us?"

"What?"

Gayoung asked, her eyes opened even wider as she glanced at Hoseok and did a doubletake. Her heart started racing and her breathing grew rapid while she picked the dried skin at the corner of her finger.

"Do you think we look good together?"

Hoseok asked, stopping in his tracks and facing Gayoung. Gayoung halted as she looked into his eyes. He stared dead serious into her eyes as he waited for her response. Gayoung's body tensed up as she could not make out a single word.

"I-I-"

"I meant like, would we look good together, as colleagues?"

Hoseok interrupted, smirking at Gayoung as she just stared at him in confusion.

"Your mother was complaining about how you don't have a job. Have you considered working part-time at the pop-up store?"

Gayoung let out a breath of relief as she gave Hoseok a small smile.

"I never thought about it,"

Hoseok pouted on purpose which shocked Gayoung as she continued hastily,

"but I'll consider!"

Hoseok gave her a radiant and beaming heart-shaped smile as she smiled back. The sun behind them slowly started setting. The persimmon mixed with sunglow rays hit their backs as they walked together down the street, laughing and chatting.
