Idyllic
Gayoung pulled back from their hug as she look into Hoseok's eyes. Her confused gaze made Hoseok chuckled as he patted her head.
"You know, ever since I saw you at the pop-up store, I just felt a connection with you. And as time slowly passed, I just felt like you were the one for me. I don't want to ever let you go,"
Hoseok whispered, pulling Gayoung into another hug as he closed his eyes and enjoyed every bit of the moment. Gayoung felt her heart skip a beat as blood rushed to her face. Her head was spinning as she pursed her lips, trying to suppress the smile spreading across her face.
"Let's go on a date,"
She managed to mutter out which caused Hoseok's eyes burst open. He pulled back from the hug and had a huge foolish smile on his face. His eyes sparkled as he stared into Gayoung's smiling ones. Without even a need for words, Hoseok grabbed Gayoung's hand and pulled her along with him as he sprinted aimlessly.
Soon, they ended up at the beach, sitting on the bench while slowly getting lost and mesmerised by the rhythmic lapping of the cerulean waves. Gayoung stared at Hoseok who's umber hair floated in the wind. His gaze was steady to the horizon as his face glowed with the remaining orange rays before the medallion orb slowly sunk into the sea.
Hoseok smiled softly as the sky's orange gold hues stretched far and wide. Overwhelmed by the scene before her, Gayoung rested her head on Hoseok, keeping quiet and yet feeling the happiest she has ever felt. She felt as if her heart might burst from happiness just like the colour of fire hearths and oranges that splattered all over the sky."Thank you, Hoseok,"
Gayoung said quietly, feeling herself tear up.
"For what?"
"For making my pain temporary when I thought it was endless,"
Gayoung turned her head to look at Hoseok who was already staring at her. Tears slipped from her eyes and trickled down her cheeks as she gave him the most genuine smile she had ever given anyone.
"Just a few months ago, I hated myself. I blamed myself and pushed everyone away. But you made me love myself , you allowed me to learn how to forgive myself. Thank you."
