Monday 29th July 2019

Harper and the girls are currently round at my house, keeping me and Cormac company. Another Sunday roast dinner day. But on a Monday, because Darcy and Pearl were at their dads yesterday.

Harper is upstairs filming for her next video, playing some kind of game with the kids. I, however, am in the kitchen starting preparation for the roast dinner later. I have my Spotify playing through my Google nest mini speaker, blasting 'Ship of Fools' by April Moon and Oskar Ekholm. A song that I have been listening to non stop after hearing it on a TFIL video that I had watched a few weeks ago.

I'm dancing around as I chop up vegetables ready to be steamed, when I'm joined by Harper and the kids. We all danced around the kitchen, as the songs went into the next. This is what I still want to be doing in twenty years time, I want to be dancing around with my best friend, our kids and hopefully by then our life partners. I'm not asking for much, right?

After a few more songs the kids went off to play up stairs in the play room, whilst Harper and I sat at the kitchen island waiting for the roast to finish cooking.

"I think it might be time for me to get out there again..." My voice came out in almost a whisper, as if I was scared of the sentence. Harper's reaction was the one I needed, the supportive not over the top reaction. She has a smile on her face, and a gleam in her eyes.

"I think that's a great idea Soph, there's no one in the world who deserves it more. What brought this on?" Her voice was soft whilst she spoke, something I have always loved about her.

"I'm- I'm not really sure to be honest with you Harps. But I just feel ready, got to at least try haven't I. I think that maybe seeing that guy last weekend and finding him attractive opened my eyes to the fact that I'm not just attracted to the same type of guy, you know." She pulled me into a hug with just a huge smile on her face.

"It's about time that you realised this. I'm so proud of you babe. We will make you a tinder later." I pulled out of the hug chuckling at what she said. Oh tinder, how I haven't missed you. We carried on chatting about everything and anything, only stopping briefly when the timer went off signalling that the food is ready. We worked together to plate up the food before calling the kids down to eat.

We were halfway through eating, making conversation with the kids when Cormac gasped, nearly choking in his food whilst he was at it. "Mum! Sidemens new video is out! The one were in!" Not only was he shouting, he was waving his arms about in excitement.

"Baby, what have I said about shouting inside the house." He cheekily smiled at me before covering his mouth with his hands, mumbling a sorry. "We will watch it together in a bit, yeah?"

"The sidemen?" Harper had a look of confusion on her face, that suddenly turned into that 'light bulb moment' look. "Ohhh... Those guys you met at the park last weekend?" I nodded slowly. "You didn't say you were in their video."

"Well Cormac played some football with them which they filmed. I wasn't exactly expecting them to put us in the video." I laughed in disbelief. These guys, surprising me again.

A couple of hours later and we were all sat around the sofa nearing the middle of the Sidemen's video. All that's running through my mind is 'why the fuck did I let my child watch these guys? They're ruthless, foul mouthed savages. But they're absolutely hilarious, me and Harper were in stitches laughing at their antics. It wasn't long before we could just make out me and Cormac in the background behind Harry. Ethan and Freezy I think were facing us, one of them holding the camera. We watched as the whole process of us meeting took place and I couldn't help but smile watching them interact with Cor, playing some football will them. The smile on my boys face didn't leave for a second, it was an absolute joy to watch.
