i still cry
when i look up
at the clouds and stars
in the sky

i know i'll never get any higher
than as high
as a plane can take me
but i can't help but admire

the vast
the empty
the nothing above me
where nothing lasts

forever is only a dream
permanence is only a wish
but i could fall forever
or as long as forever seems.
