They told me I should always be
shining as bright as the sun
So I did
But I became a barren desert
Then they told me to
wash my pain away
By covering myself
in thick stratus showers
So I did
Only to become a flooded wasteland
Then you told me
To do as I please
When I felt like the sun
I should bask in sweet summer heat
And when I felt like a storm
I should tear open the sky
And let it fall to my feet
So I did
Then after some time
I began to heal
I began to grow
And I became a garden.
