-Armin POV-
Nora passed out, but I managed to catch her before she fell onto the ground.
“I got you” I whispered.
I noticed the Captain looking at her. “Get her ODM-gear off. It’s busted anyway. Make sure she gets medical attention”
“Yes, sir” I said. After I took her ODM-gear off, I noticed the large bruise on her side. I carried her while getting on the wall.
I ran with her to the medical centre.
“What happened?” asked a nurse.
“She got grabbed by a Titan, she said her side was bruised before she passed out” I said.
“What’s her name?” she asked.
“Nora Sato” I said. And looked at her closed eyes.
“Noted, we’ll take care of her. You can wait until she wakes up” said the nurse and I nodded.
After half an hour I could go see her. She was still unconscious. They had changed her hoodie for a black t-shirt. I sat down and held her hand.
‘If Captain Levi hadn’t been there… she would’ve… I couldn’t do anything…’ All I thought about was the moment she pushed me and Eren out of the way, how she sacrificed herself for me and Eren…
“Please, wake up soon Nora” I whispered. “We need you… I need you. We still need to see the sea together”
Suddenly the door went open, and Captain Levi walked in.
“You can stay seated” he said when he noticed I wanted to stand up for him. “How is she doing?”
“The doctor said that it was just a bruise. But she shouldn’t do anything hard for a few weeks. She passed out from the pain and fatigue. She should wake up soon” I said and looked at our hands. Her bracelet, she was still wearing it.
I looked up at Captain Levi and noticed he was looking at it. “That’s good to hear” he said.
“Does her grandfather know that she’s here, sir?” I asked, suddenly remembering that I hadn’t left her side to tell her grandfather.
“Don’t think so. What’s his name?” he asked.
“Commander Pyxis, sir” I said and the Captain looked surprised.
“I’ll go tell him. You should stay with your friend” he said and was going to leave the room.
“Dad?” it was barely a whisper, but making the Captain freeze in his steps, Nora squeezed her eyes. “Dad, don’t go. Don’t leave me alone” she said. She was having a nightmare.
“Nora, it’s Armin. You’re having a nightmare” I whispered and touched her face.
“No, don’t leave me. Please, I’m scared” she said.
I tried to calm her down. “Dad!” she screamed and suddenly sat up, opening her eyes.
“Ouch! Damn that hurt like a bitch” she shouted and touched her side. I laughed and she looked me straight in the eyes. Her eyes were a bit red from crying in her nightmare.
“Armin? Where am I?” she asked and I softly hugged her, trying not to hurt her.
I heard the door close softly. ‘Why would the Captain leave now?’
“Who was that? Armin, what’s going on?” she asked and she held my hands.
“You got hurt when that Titan grabbed you. So I brought you to the medical centre. Your side is badly bruised, so you shouldn’t do anything too active for the next few weeks. You’ve been unconscious for a few hours. And the man that just left was Captain Levi, he came to see if you were alright” I said and squeezed her hands.
“Really? That was nice of him. Where are Eren and Mikasa?” she asked.
“Eren has been locked up for now, Mikasa is alright. Worried about him and you” I said and she nodded.
